Summary: FRAUD ALERT
Review: A word to the wise, I have been going crazy trying to find a plasma TV at a super low price. I mean who does not want a really great deal? Along the way I have learned quite a bit. Many on line sellers, some right here on Amazon, are scammers. They usually have a comment about contacting them prior to ordering. This should be your first clue that something is wrong. Once you email them they give you some line about you paying outside of Amazon for one reason or another. I have had them wanting me to send payment by moneygram, western union, even bank transfer from my bank account directly to theirs. Only after receipt of payment is verified will they send the package. I sure hope none of you will fall for this. I have even had one seller offer to go through a third party named Square Trade. A quick google showed the company to be quite legit. After agreeing to use Square Trade, I received an offical looking email (using Square Trades logo, and a spoofed Square Trade email address) instructing me to send a money gram to an indiviual in Romania. I might just have well put cash in an envelope. I have turned these individuals into Amazon, Square Trade ( who was aware of the situation) and have now started notifying the email hosts that their service is being used as part of the scam. If an escrow service is offered trust none except escrow.com as the rest are ripoff site as well. NO I was not a victim but I hope none of you become one either. NEVER PAY FOR ANY TRANSACTION OUTSIDE OF AMAZON IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE PROTECTED.

Summary: Spend a little extra for a better Plasma
Review: I had been searching for a good EDTV Plasma for some time. I have no HDTV feed so there was no need to pay extra for the better resolution. After searching for some time I saw this SVA model go on sale for 1799 so I jumped on it and had it at my house in a weeks time. The display looks great and the stand and speakers it comes with are very nice. I left the speakers in the box since I also purchased a surround system. The first thing that I found that I didn't like about this display was no support for Progressive Scan signals, so that new DVD player from Sony wasn't worth it I guess. With Progressive Scan signaling turned off the display was adequte watchin a DVD, but nothing great. Once I tried watching TV however, that's when I was really let down. The display made everthing blurry and appear out of focus, but just barely, it gave me a headache trying to watch normal TV programming. I played with the Aspect settings, the picture settings, etc.. nothing helped. I also noticed that gradients didn't show well, instead of a smooth gradient fill on certain scenes it appeared choppy and the trasition was stepped.

After one week of adjusting, I boxed it up and sent it back. I paid another $200 for the Panasonic 42PWD7UY. What a difference!! Progressive signals, much better resolution, better contrast, better everything. There's now no wonder it's rated one of the best EDTV Plasmas on the market, but this isn't a review for the Panasonic just wanted to stress that a little extra money in the world of Plasma's is REALLY worth it!!

Summary: wow great TV
Review: This is the leasty amount of money I have ever expected to spend on a plasma TV. The picture is clear and it looks better than the Samsung 65 inch bigscreen I purchased for more. The speakers sond great and the stand makes it attractive on our dresser. The plasma unit does run a little hot and has a funny way of turning on wich is from remote only. Sometimes you need to reset the power button for some reason but other wise I can't complain.
