Summary: Big show! Lots of lights and dancing and production!
Review: I liked this concert of Britney Spears better than the one-hour special she did on FOX. It was a big, massive production, loads of lights and a lot of dancing and choreography! She did a lot of costume changes. She did a lot of songs from her three albums. The show starts off with a dream, then builds up in momentum. Spears does lip-sync on a few songs, but I happened to hear her band more than the record she was lip-synching over. That concert proved that Britney is a dynamic performer and entertainer. I hope they make a concert DVD of the Onyx Hotel tour that she did in the spring of this year. The Las Vegas element is why this concert is full of the excess and the big lights circling and swinging all across that stage.

Summary: This is excellent!
Review: First and foremost we've seen that during Britney's childhood experience she really could sing and a lot of talent shows can attest to that. So please give her a break and stop this silly stupid and childish lies. Regarding, this concert yes I would agree it is obvious that some of her numbers were lip-sync and that I would advice her management to open up their eyes to let Britney sing live from start to finish. Yes, definetely dancing and singing at the same time is a difficult task but common britney will be motivated not only by 100 millions of dollars but by the "Love and Respect" of her fans who are truly depending on her and who serves as an inspiration to them. Britney keep up the good work and "GOD Bless You Always".

Summary: Quite Disappointed Actually
Review: Ok, this is a LIVE concert on DVD. In a huge arena. And...
SHE MIMED THE ENTIRE THING.

Thousands of people are spending quality time and money to see Britney Spears perform. We need to hear her ACTUAL SINGING voice.

NOT a CD version that everyone has heard 100 times.
I knew Britney was going to mime, but I didn't expect her to mime THE ENTIRE THING.

She is good at dancing though. If she doesn't want to get so puffed out on stage I suggest that she should quit smoking.

The dance moves and stage props and the whole set up was really good, but if there's one thing I expect out of concerts it is the SINGING.

Summary: 2 stars for effort...but she looked lost
Review: I can see where Britney was trying to go with this concert, but she didn't really pull it off. The dancers were good, the effects were cool, the costumes were fun and revealing, staging was odd at times, and the whole idea would have worked, except Britney Spears struggled.

Britney is an awesome performer, except when she has no structured choreography and then she just looks lost, wandering about the stage with sharp arm gestures and head movements. I couldn't even count on my hands and feet how many times she whipped her hair around. She saved herself with some fun dance moves, pyrotechnics, and 8 eye-candy dancers to distract attention. It was obvious she wasn't singing live, as most of her songs sounded exactly like her prerecorded albums, and throughout her albums "oops i did it again" to "in the zone" her voice matured and changed. You would think she would have noticed this and made new recordings for the concert if she were going to lip-sync, but that would have made to much sense. However, i do believe she sang "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" live and that was a touching song. No crazy dancing, no fire, no revealing costumes, nothing to hide her singing. Just her, a piano and 2 back-up vocalists. She gained points there.

"Lonely" was a very strange number, where she danced in front of a giant TV screen with her own image mirroring her on it. Good idea, but Britney, you turned your back on the audience the entire time, and your timing was a little off with the televised image. Work on it, honey, you'll get it.

This concert would have worked, however I think she's ahead of herself. This was too extravagant a concert so early in her career and had she waited a bit, it might have turned out better. Better luck next time...
