Summary: If I could give them 20 stars I would!
Review: I simply love this video. I've seen the band in concert twice and the video captures the sound and energy of one of their shows as closely as is conceivable.

I can't even begin to express how much I love this video, but if you are a fan BUY IT, and buy it RIGHT NOW!

Summary: Long-time fans - save your money
Review: Listener Supported is a hit parade and will dissapoint most of us long-time members. Beautiful old songs like True Reflections and #36 (NO DRUM INTRO? Are you kidding me?) are destroyed by the presence of the "lovely ladies." Granny is even a dissapointment with them. Warehouse is getting to be a cookie-cutter song, sounding identical on this recording to every other live Warehouse I have from the BTCS tour (98 and 99). Don't Drink the Water even seems sub-par, mainly because I've heard it so much. #40 is a rarity, but it's only 1 minute long!

As for the albums high points, they are few and far between. Two Step is amazing, #41 is one of the best, and The Stone is very powerful. Too Much is actually kind of funky with the synthesizers; it's the one thing I liked that was dramatically different. And then there's Crash Into Me, the anthem of the new DMB fans (like it or not). There's just no chance that this song won't be on a live release now. And that's too bad.

Those few high points on Listener Supported will convince most of us to buy it. Me? I'm glad I own it. I love DMB's live performances. But I DO feel also that I've been a fan long enough to criticize and critique. Two stars is about right if you ask me.

Summary: For Dave Superfans
Review: This video is superb for the Dave Matthews superfans. Playing a vast selection of his besst songs, the Dave Matthews Band is very entertaining to watch on this 2 hr and 15 min video. Favorites of all people such as Crash, Two Step and Granny are all included in this concert video. Along with those favorites are cover songs the band quite frequently plays such as Long Black Veil and, All Along the Watchtower. This video is a great addition to anyone's collection of Dave Matthews Band merchandise. It is fun to watch with friends and family alike. This is a must buy video.

Summary: Listener Excited
Review: Listener Supported is one of my favorites because there are not many DMB videos out there other than bootlegs and this is an actual DMB release. Its about time we get to see a high quality DMB concert on video without the static and bad sound we get on bootlegs.

Summary: Listener Supported...Nothing But Superb
Review: I bought and watched Listener Supported and found the whole thing to be fantastic. I enjoyed watching Carter play the drums and seeing Boyd play his violin. The shots were nice and long at times and short and abrupt when necessary. The setlist was also just perfect! They played every song that pops into your head when you think of DMB. The only thing that could have been added were shots of the entire stage. That way you could see the light show. But even without that the video still rocks! Two words for people who are hmmm'ing and ha'ing...BUY IT!

Summary: I was there
Review: I think that the it was awesome to be able to watch a full length concert from my own home. I drove seventeen hours to see that concert and it was awesome. The setlist was great. The only thing about the video that i didn't like was that they didn't show dave dance enough, and they didn't show the spectacular light show that was going on enough.

Summary: Simply Amazing
Review: Having attended this concert, and having sat in the eighth row, I know how good it was live. The video does nothing less than bring a smile to my face. I have been to about a dozen DMB shows, and I have heard recordings of many others. This show was definately one of the best. There is a great variety of songs here. Something for everyone, from "Crash" to please the radio listeners, to songs such as "#36" and "Long Black Veil" that seasoned fans can appreciate. The guys put out some extra effort for this PBS special, and it shows in how much fun they are having on stage, and in how much fun the fans are having. Check it out, its well worth the 2 hours of your time.
