Summary: Satisfactory for a band past it's prime
Review: Let me preface my remarks by saying that I've been an AC/DC fan since I was a teenager back in the stone age. I have every album except one and I know my AC/DC. I had I hoped this DVD would bring back old times. There's no doubt that the technical aspects of this video are fabulous. I couldn't shake the feeling however that this group would have been better off calling it quits after the Razor's Edge tour. While Angus still plays with plenty of heart, it's Brian's voice (or lack thereof) that is most distracting. His screeching, high pitched wails that were such a trademark and had such feeling on his earlier albums with the band are all but gone. His voice has been reduced to a grovely, hoarse whine. Angus's playing is very good although there are many moments where he misses a few notes and gets rather sloppy. I would only recommend this video to hardcore fans who can't get their hands on any other AC/DC videos. If you can find any others, I would stay away from this one and get Live at Donnigton- it was filmed back at a time when the band had much more life in them and before Brian's voice had gone completely down the toilet.

Summary: Better Concert than I Expected!
Review: I purchased "The No Bull" concert that was released this past year and was somewhat dissappointed. The band seemed off, and the sound quality wasn't very good. Not so in this "Stiff Upper LIp" concert. The band sounds much tighter even though Brian Johnston's vocals are shot (he has no range what-so-ever). Great selection of songs and a must have for AC/DC fans. The extra video footage wasn't very long, but what the heck - the concert made up for that!

Summary: It shook us all night long...........
Review: A very good friend of mine gave me this DVD as a early Christmas present. After he gave it to me I put it in my DVD player and it provided the best soundtrack you could have for a ROCKING holiday dinner. The song selection is excellent since I prefer their older songs. I saw them years ago when they opened a show for Aerosmith and Ted Nugent. Bon was the singer and this performance reminds me how they blew both of them totally away. After experiencing this performance my friend felt he needed a DVD player and this would be the first one he would buy.

Summary: As good as it can be.....
Review: ...never disappointing from the Intro ( the news with Angus statute moving at a speed of 500Km/h before invading Munich Stadium, the venue (80K crazy fans best examplified on "Shoot to Thrill"), the songlist (pretty balanced between pre and post Bon's era songs), the set (Angus smoking statute, the Bell, Whole lotta Rosie Str....., canons on FTATR,..etc), the surprises (What do you do for money, up to my neck in you), to the final "guess what!" (back to perform "shot down in flames" after FTATR).

In short, a solid (yet expected..!) performance by the best band in R'nR. (...)!

Salute

Summary: I've seen better...
Review: I'm a huge AC/DC fan and i'd have to say... I'm not all that impressed with this DVD. The sound is great but the performance they chose to use wasn't the best. I originally thought that this DVD would be the best performances of the whole stiff upper lip tour compiled into the one DVD but it was only one single show. I saw them during this tour at the Continental Airlines Arena and that show was 10 times better than what is on the DVD. I think the reason why they chose it was becuase of it being a huge venue and a sold out crowd. The behind the scenes extra footage wasn't all that great either... just a quick 10 minute or so interview with only about 2 minutes of talking. If you have money to burn and want to check it out, it won't be the most dissapointing thing in the world... Probably just not as much as you expected.

Summary: You must see it!
Review: This is the complete show that took place in the Olympic Stadium in Munich, Germany from June 14th 2001. I was very appreciated that they chose this concert for the Live-DVD, because I've been there in the crowd.

The sound is in DD 2.0 Stereo, DD 5.1 and DTS. The complete show is subtitled with song lyrics and dialogues.

I am inspired of these DVD, not only, because I saw this concert live. If I watch this DVD, I feel again carried back to this concert. One gets a good impression of this spectacle, which was filmed supposedly with 21 cameras (21 guns?). It occurs not very often that a complete Show will be banned on video. Usually individual Tracks from different Shows are cut together.

The spectacle was topped by an additional encore after "For Those About To Rock" at a time when numerous fans already wanted to head home. "Shot Down In Flames" suddenly roared from the PA and rewarded the relentless "encore calls" of the audience. The last time this happened was in Glasgow in 1982 when AC/DC entered the stage once more with "T.N.T." after the last cannon had been fired. By the way, before that, "Live Wire" was played!!!(...)

Summary: Blow up your video and get this DVD....
Review: This DVD (reg 2 version by the way) really matched my high expectations. It has a real great sound in either 5.1 or DTS. As well as crystal clear 16:9 picture. And most important of all AC/DC in top form, better than ever. It was very interesting to see the behind the scenes footage and interviews. Although I expected more that 10 minutes of extra footage. Anyway it is really nice to get a small glimpse of the guys offstage. Brian is awesome in the behind the scenes as well as onstage. I think someone should sign him up for film contract because he is a real personality. Quite interesting to see them coming back after For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) to do a great version of Shot Down In Flames!!!! God I wish I would have been there. All I can hope for now is to see the video release of Live at Donington as the next DVD from the boys.

Summary: Excelent DVD. Worth every cent !!!!!!!
Review: I gotta say I am more of a KISS fan than AC/DC. My uncle gave me this DVD on my birthday about 3 years ago. I saw it and I couldn't stop. This is one of my favorite bands and this item, one of the best DVD's I own.

1.- "Newsflash".- This one is not really a song. It is more of a presenatation. A funny presentation about the "Angus Statue", the bands lead guitarist.-

2.- "Stiff Upper Lip".- One of AC/DC's best songs. It is a great intro for a great concert.- 10/10.

3.- "You Shook Me All Night Long".- Fantastic song. One of the best of all times. I love this one.- 10/10

4.- "Problem Child".- Great song and great lyrics.- 9/10.

5.- "Thunderstruck".- A fantastic song with a hell of a guitar intro and drum sound.- 10/10.

6.- "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be".- I like this one. A great rock song from AC/DC.- 9/10.

7.- "Hard As Rock".- Great one. One of AC/DC's best.- 10/10.

8.- "Shoot To Thrill".- I like this one. One of their best songs they've ever wrote.- 10/10.

9.- "Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution".- A song with a great chorus.- 8/10.

10.- "What Do You Do For Money Honey".- Another great song from AC/DC. This band rocks.- 10/10.

11.- "Bad Boy Boogie".- I like this song as much as "Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution". Ladies will recive a surprise in this one.- 8/10.

12.- "Hell's Bells".- Great song. Terrific.- 10/10.

13.- "Up To My Neck In You".- I like this one. A great ROCK AND ROLL SONG".- 9/10.

14.- "The Jack".- Great song.- 9/10.

15.- "Back In Black".- Another one of my favorite songs ever written. I think the banda sonora of the movie "Men In Black II".- 10/10

16.-"Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap".-One of my favorite songs of all times. I think this one is kind of the banda sonora of one os my favorite all-time movies: "Dirty Work". Check that movie out. It's hilarious.- 10/10.

17.- "Highway To Hell".- WOW. Another one of my favorite songs. This DVD rocks all the way!!!! .- 10/10.

18.- "Whole Lotta Rosie".- I love this song. One of my favorite's from AC/DC.- 10/10.

19.- "Let There Be Rock".- I like this song. But not as much as "Whole Lotta Rosie" or "Highway To Hell".- 8/10.

20.- "T.N.T".- WOW even anotherone of my all-time favorite's. I first heard it on the videogame: "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4".- 10/10.

21.- "For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)".- A great, great song with an amazing cannons that fire.- 10/10.

22.- "Shot Down In Flames".- Not too crazy about this one but it gives a great outro for a concert as such.- 7/10.

23.- "Credits".- Just the credits where the names of the band appear.

See. I recomend this item. Very much. I always thought this was one of their best concerts EVER!!!
