Summary: No Neil Young
Review: A search for Neil Young on DVD turned up this concert video so I bought it. Neil Young and Crazy Horse, despite headlining this concert, do not appear on the DVD. Anyone else purchasing this DVD should know that. Nothing like getting screwed.

Summary: Dissapointing display of marketing prowess
Review: After the long anticipation of its release, myself and the five people I went to the festival with, all agree that 270 Miles From Graceland is a misrepresentation of the spirit and energy of the festival. Everyone I know what was there feels that the performances on the DVD do not convey the upbeat groove that dominated the performances at the festival. They also failed to represent the ammount of collaboration and experimentation between the acts and artists in attendance. It seems that the main purpose of the DVD is to target people who were interested, but did not attend, and give them a popish, hollywood style 2 hour commercial about why they should buy tickets next year. I would rather watch any of the 6 hours of video that I shot there while I was wasted out of my mind.

Summary: Mellifluous aesthetics
Review: An amazing cinemagraphic accomplishment pushing the window of documentry is the new Bonnaroo DVD. The festival was a beautiful array of sights as well as music and Danny Clinch did an amazing job of capturing the entire experience. The editing, shots, and setups heightened the feel of being there. Sequences such as the last part of the polyphonic spree scene are so well done with the editing. Truly an artistic film to take the viewer beyond the music and incorporate all there could be to see in Manchester Tennessee. As far as some bands not being on the list, hey some contracts suck (Neil Young not being apart of any compilations), time allotted sucks, but the film stands just as strong without some of artists we all love. I've been to Bonnaroo and I can say this video is worth having and watchin hundreds of times over.

Summary: Not as good as 2002
Review: Can't quite place it... there's great music's and performances all over... but something's missing... certainly not as electrifying as the Bonnaroo 2002 DVD.
I thought the sound was a little low-fi too on this DVD as compared to Bonnaroo 2002 DVD.

Summary: Must buy for those who attended festival
Review: Great sound, great music, great shots, good blend of festival experience and music. A word about complainers: Everybody has their favorite Bonnaroo moment that did not get on the DVD. Get real people, how could you expect the DVD to encompass the entire festival experience? It sucks that Neil Young, STS9, the Wailers, Emmylou Harris, and 30 other bands didn't get on the DVD, but surely you didn't think they'd all be there? This is a great concert film that presents a slice of Bonnaroo. (OK, it REALLY sucks that Neil Young didn't make the cut)

Summary: Where is Keller Williams?
Review: How could you all leave Keller Williams out of both of your DVD's, the man is one of the most entertaining on the scene. I would have bought this if he had been on there. Hopefully you'll get it right next year.....

Summary: This DVD does not measure up to last years DVD!
Review: I attended Bonnaroo this year and I believe that this DVD can not relate to what went on at this years festival! Where is Neil Young? After all he was the headliner. Where are the guest appearances such as Robert Randloph and Warren Hayes with Panic? I was so such looking forward to viewing this DVD and it has turned out to be a dud. The director does not even compare to the one last year. Hope next years DVD is better see you next year in TN.

Summary: Not a good as 2002
Review: I found this years DVD to be a huge let down. Some of the best performances were left out. Missing are the Funky Meters (who put on a killer show), Neil Young (I will never understand this one, the guy was a headliner!!!), moe, sound tribe, Galactic, the Wailers, Partice and few others. Last years DVD made me want to go to Bonnaroo after this years I could care less. I also really enjoyed the interviews with fans and the shots of people camping and getting their perspective on the festival, there was very little of this in this years offering. I will say that what performances they do show are well filmed and the sound is excellent. Hopefully they get a new director for next years film.

Summary: Good, but could be better.
Review: I guess I'm still a little sour from last years DVD. You have Denson playing the flute, no moe. (one of their best shows ever), a bad selection for a mule song, an opening waste with too much Claypool. That all said and done, this year's DVD certainly has better variety and covers a more diverse line-up of perfomers. For those of you who were there, its worth watching it, to bring back memories. But given the expensive ticket price in the first place, you probably don't need to buy it. Oh by the way, still no moe. Oh yeah, and wait, i'm pretty sure last years DVD also had Phil & Friends playing Sugar Magnolia. But hey, its a lot of music to watch, and to each his own.
