Summary: not bad
Review: First of all, this DVD was unauthorized. There are no White Stripes music, performances, or videos. Also, the number of interview segments from the band members are extremely limited. As such, the whole DVD is only 65 minutes long.

On the plus side, however, the video has a lot of interviews Detroit-scene insiders and the engineers discussing the beginnings of the band and the making of each of their records. Personally, I found the documented destruction of the brother-sister myth to be worth the price of the DVD alone, although we do not find out much about WHY Jack White perpetuates the story.

The bottom line is that this is probably the best you are going to get from a band that attempted to steep itself in myth and mystery.

Summary: review
Review: i think that some particular reviews were a bit harsh, and honestly comletely rubbish. I think that not everyone is going to enjoy this dvd, but if you didnt want to see how the band was formed and developed then you probably shouldn't have bought it any way. It is an interesting insight into the world of the white stripes and i think that it was worth the money, as any other fan would.

Summary: not good
Review: If you are looking for a dvd that is filled with White Stripes music and interviews, look elsewhere. The item description says it has over 40 minutes of in-depth interviews, but it fails to mention that only about 10 minutes (if that) of this is actually with the band (and the 10 minutes are scattered throughout the 65 minute dvd). It has interviews with members of various bands that have played with the White Stripes in the past and others who knew them when they were just beginning. It is mildly interesting to hear about how the band got their start and other such details, but it is not something I will watch again. (If Jack & Meg were telling their own story, THAT would be worth it).
