Summary: Does not live up to typical DTS audio sound!
Review: Do not let the "DTS" emblem fool you. I have heard Dolby Digital 2.0 concerts with better sound sound! The audio on this DVD is autrosious! The video is good, and it seems to be a good concert, but the audo is just plain bad!

Summary: Worth buying for ZM & the MM fans who like to see them live.
Review: Greetings all,

This is a good buy for Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers fans who like to see the Marleys live. And now that Marley's not touring this year in the States, it's a good substitute.

Ziggy and family don't have the stage presence that their father had, choosing to just stand and sing (although Sharon, Cedella and Erica do their dance on backing vocals) rather than be the whirling dervish that their father was behind the mike.

But that point aside, this collection has strong song choices and the concert setting is a warm one, with Ziggy being his usual mellow self.

This concert is likely the best live Ziggy Marley work available DVD at this point in time, but then, where is the "Conscious Live at the Palladium" ZMMM released on video in the late 80s? Now that was a great concert and would make a great DVD!

Summary: This DVD is Really Great!
Review: OK, first of all let me say that I am a fan of reggae music and of the Marley family. Regardless of that fact, the DVD is top notch. The concert is really excellent in all respects - including sound. I read some things about this DVD before I bought it and watched it. Let me say that what I read earlier was completely wrong. The entire thing was totally worth the money I spent. I am so impressed by the showman ship and quality of the performance, that I am going to look into getting a CD of the live concert. The Melody Makers (including Ziggy) are definitely carrying on the work of their father. The music is supreme. When you watch the concert, you will find yourself getting the higher vibration they so clearly express during the concert's dialogue. Each note and riff comes across clearly and everything just comes together spectacularly. If you are on the fence about getting it, understand that I too was in that place. There is no need to be hesitant in your decision making. If you enjoy the pleasure and pleasant experience of great reggae, you will definitely not be disappointed. In fact, I am looking at it again at this very same moment. Enjoy, because I am.

Summary: Track listing has more than ONE Bob Marley/Wailers song.
Review: There are at least two errors in the main review.
First, on this DVD, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers perform five Bob Marley and the Wailers songs, not ONE, as stated in the review.
ZM&MM perform "Rainbow Country," "Small Axe," "Africa Unite," "Jammin'" and "Could You Be Loved" -- all Bob Marley and the Wailers songs. (Funny that the review mentions "Africa Unite" and acts as if it's a Ziggy Marley song. Anyone who knows the Wailers and knows ZM&MM, can easily tell the difference in quality between the two groups.)
And furthermore, the main review is comical in that its reviewer doesn't seem to know the relationship of Sharon and Cedella Marley to Ziggy. They're his sisters. Sharon was born to Rita Marley and a man (not Bob Marley) -- Bob adopted her when he married Rita. And Cedella is Bob's and Rita's firstborn child.
Their relationship to Ziggy isn't CLEAR? No, it's actually rather quite clear to any one who is a fan of the group. They're siblings.

The performances here are better than that on the "One Love Tribute Concert" DVD. On that DVD, the performances, even ZM&MM's seemed forced.
Try this DVD as well as "Live at the Palladium" and "Marley Magic" -- although, "Marley Magic" is only worth buying for ZM&MM's performances, not those of Rita Marley, Julian and Damian and Yvad. Just push the skip button to the ZM&MM set.
