Summary: Blazin music, and of course beautiful women.
Review: "Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle is one of best videos I've watched in a long time. The reason why is simply because out of all (and I mean all) the movies that I've seen that showed that much content, I always got bored of waiting for the next scene that it was typical for me to just fast forward it to the next scene. But with Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle I didn't even fast forward it. I didn't fast forward it because the soundtrack was great and the female were fine as can be."
"I would recommend this video for every adult Snoop fan, and even those that aren't Snoop fan's but just like watching those type of movies, If you watch this video and your not a Snoop fan, you will become one"

Summary: A change of pace....
Review: I have the unedited explicit version of this and it's nothing like what the other reviewers have said. The one I have is not edited in any way. There are around 5 sections each broken up into 4-5 chapter stops each. Each section starts with a music video by Snoop and his boys that has plenty of ladies with and without their clothes on. The remaining 4 chapters in each section are dedicated to pure hardcore action. Snoop has some unreleased tracks which are played throughout the entire DVD and the editing keeps everything mixed together so you never get bored. The music is the #1 focus audio-wise so you can blast this DVD's audio without worrying about the adult content being too loud. I'd recommend it but definitely go for the unedited version.

I'd recommend it for Snoop fans who want to hear some new cuts as well as see some adult action.

Summary: A Dogg of a DVD
Review: I'm not a huge porn fan (believe it or not) & I hate most rap music but I decided to rent this because I thought it might be good for a few laughs. But when I stuck this in my DVD player I was quite disappointed. In fact, I was bored stiff (that's B-O-R-E-D, not B-O-A-R-D). This pretty much torpedoed the direction of my original review notes where I'd planned to:(a)Re-christen Snoop as Snoop Doggy Dong, (b) Go overboard with leering details of the physical attractions of all the " hot chocolaty goodness" of the "starlets" and (c)Work in a few moderately crude jokes about exploding breast implants.
Actually the whole package is pretty laughable because while the DVD has loads of hot women & T&A, there's only one "explicit" gynaecological shot. And as for the actual sex there aren't any graphic close-ups, all the nookie is shot from a distance. Even the sex in those daft "erotica" movies is much more hardcore. Funnily enough "Doggystyle" is rated R18 in NZ for "explicit" sex scenes! In fact the DVD cover's claim that this is "the first XXX rated hip hop DVD" may be the biggest example of blatant false advertising since "The Blair Witch Project".
I shouldn't really have been surprised by this because this DVD is available to buy in commercial retail outlets in NZ such as Sounds and Whitcoulls. So, sadly it doesn't mean mainstream tastes are becoming more liberal.
As it happens, there's not one single frame in "Doggystyle" that's guaranteed to make old Cyclops stand to attention. In fact, this ranks as one of the most boring pieces of drivel I've watched so far this year. And no, there are no cover versions of old 80s songs on here. The most obvious one I thought could be reworked as "Snoop Snoop Diddy Wah Comma Comma Wang Wang", or whatever it's called. Other obvious tracks could be Clarence Carter's "Strokin'" and that old Chuck Berry favourite from my parents' era "My Ding A Ling". Apparently there is a hardcore version out there, but you won't find me going to any great lengths (huh huh) to find a copy.
DVD extras include a behind the scenes doco, and a couple of (c)rap videos. Buy or rent at your own risk. But if by chance you consider this to be "da pimpinest joint" you've ever seen you'll be pleased to know there's going to be a sequel.
(The final line of my review is best read in a dull monotone)Whoopee. Time for me to start marking the days off on my calendar. "Driller Killer" can wait, I'll have to make that one a priority. As Al Pacino said in "Scent Of A Woman" HOO HA! Actually, there's not much "hoo"ing or "ha"ing" on "Doggystyle" either. You've been warned. However this may hold some interest for teenage boys who've never laid eyes on a naked woman before. But it's R18, so they're unable to view it. My advice is don't worry, guys. You're not missing out on A DAMN THING. Trust me.

Summary: Soft core all right but the hardcore version is better
Review: If your the type that likes to see some T&A then this is the movie for you. I bought this thinking this was the real version not paying attention to details this is the soft-core version with added scenes and deleted good stuff. If you really are a [...] then get the hardcore version because this version [...].
I made the mistake now Im happy I got the real version.

Summary: Let the buyer beware, cos this ain't all that
Review: This DVD is neither one thing nor the other: it's got too much softcore T & A to be a rap video and too much rap to be an adult video. For that reason, it will satisfy the expectations of neither audience. We see a lot of Snoop partying with his homies and we get several interviews with the strippers and would-be porn starlets who shake their thang for the camera throughout but that's about it, really. No really cool rap videos for those who want rap but at the same time no real action for those who want adult enta'tainment.
