Summary: Best Collection of Christmas Music
Review: Absolutely fabulous. Silent Night is sung in 5 languages. Brightman sings the English version with her velvety smooth voice like you've always wanted to hear Silent Night but never did. Child in a Manger, the 1st of May, Christmas is here again are a few of the great songs in this video. Brightman and Domingo are super. Highly recommended.

Summary: This video is great!
Review: Although I haven't seen the video, I have the cd. It is quite good, with many different interpretations and translations of traditional Christmas songs. The two best singers are, of course, Domingo and *the* Sarah Brightman. Sarah Brightman brightens the stage with "first of may" and "santa claus is coming to town"

Summary: Flat
Review: Domingo needed to sight read his music. Brightman was only average. The other "stars" actually sang FLAT! I could not believe my ears. When I played the DVD everyone in my living room said the same thing. They sang FLAT! A huge let down. The choice of music was less than exciting and the arrangements were not suited to the performers. Merry Christmas

Summary: A gala Christmas in Vienna - better than expected
Review: I bought this dvd to hear Sarah Brightman. I wasn't expecting anything great, maybe a nice disc to watch at Christmas time. I've listened to it 3 times and here is what I think. The choice of music was an eclectic mix of traditional European and modern songs which I thought worked very well. The dvd video and audio quality were excellent. The setting was a beautiful cathedral type structure. Brightman was great as usual. Domingo added a distinguished older presence. Cocciante (who I had not heard before) is very good - he has a raspy beatiful voice which filled the room. Lotti, I wasn't that impressed with (I thought his voice was rather weak). Anyway, I thought overall a pretty enjoyable disc. Those are my two cents. Enjoy the video and music. Buon natale.

Summary: Beautiful
Review: I taped this performance from PBS. All my family members liked it and my three children, age Two(2) and age 4(1) have watched this video more than twenty times. I bought this video here in Amazon.com as gift to my friend.

Summary: 5 stars for sarah
Review: I thought that placido was over bearing. Sarah deserves all the credit for that preformance. She made the show much better than it would have been if it were only the other three. As for the two pop singers...Lotti has a weak voice and the other guy .....I honestly don't know how he became a singer, his voice is lacking, but sarah she was delightful...i always love hearing her beautiful voice..she put me in the holiday spirit.

Summary: Extraordinary
Review: It has been extraordinary to listen and watch these four outstanding singers and the orchesta wonderful. The songs has been very well selected, and the arragements as well. Sarah Brightman sings wonderful and Helmut Lotti very nice. The italian guy doesn't have voice.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: OK; For true blue fans only
Review: Its worth adding to your library only if you are a true blue fan of any of the singers. The orchestration sounds great in Dolby Digital 5.1 on a surround sound system. However the mix of the singers' voices could be better. Domingo is overpowering, Sarah. B is just right, and its difficult to understand Lotti and Cocciante at times. Sarah B. does a credible job with what she has to work with. Domingo's voice just doesn't work in this setting. Lotti sounds OK. I'm not sure what the big deal about Cocciante is. His voice sounds like gravel. A bad day?(Can't tell I've never heard him before.) Overall, just an average performance.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Really disappointed
Review: Sarah Brightman was great! Placido Domingo is way past his prime and should stop soi ling his past stellar reputation; The other two are pop singers with NO VOICE; this record is an insult to opera lovers!
