Summary: Inspirational!
Review: Seing the trailers for this film, I though to myself "I will never, never ever see this movie." I was taken to it by a friend, and much to my surprise, it was very dramatic, non-commecial, and entertaining; this is one of the best film released this month. See it. See it again. Bryan Grazer, producer of A Beautiful Mind, L.A. Confedential, and Apollo 13, produces this film that I'm going to see again. I know that it looks awful in trailers, but "give it an oppurtunity."

Summary: I'll grab the mic and I'll damage ya
Review: Not sure why so many people are dissing this movie based on the trailer, but that's wack 'cause this one is really entertaining. Got to see it opening night at the Toronto film festival and lets just say it brought people out of their seats on more than one occasion. Anyone who liked the movie "Juice" should probably check "8 Mile" out. If you're still not convinced, go to the movies on cheap night (it hits theatres November 8th or wait for its video release. Certainly, this one is going to fall into its niche and show quite a return for the siply fact that, as Mr. Hanson said himself, "everyone seems to be interested in seeing that Eminem movie."

Summary: Highly Anticipate -- And I Used to Hate Eminem
Review: I can't say that this is going to be a bad movie. With the release of "The Eminem Show," we're all waiting for this film. An awesome soundtrack is sure to follow with another release of "Cleaning Out My Closet," one of the better tracks, though widely commercialized. Eminem's surfacing musicality and the heartfelt-looking trailers for the film should make for a well-spent [$$$]

Summary: Truth hurts
Review: Like for our lil friend maxwelle or whatever down there. I think he's confused that this world isn't perfect. And Eminem shows it how it really is. How he was mistreated and needed to find the light and he did. I sence some jelousy in maxwelle but thats his opinion. But yes "8 Mile" Looks like a very powerful film and it will be enjoyed by other viewers besides his fans. Eminem wasnt brought up like Vanilla Ice, Britney Spears, Nsync, and Mariah Carey. Eminem is REAL. He's been threw the things that he sings about. Vanilla ICE grew up in a comfortable background with a lot things growing for him. As for our other pop stars, you can just tell they had life made for them. But Eminem had it hard. That's what u really gota look at.

Summary: Gonna be Awesome with a good performance from Eminem
Review: Judging from the trailer this movie looks like its gonna be good. There are rumors that Eminem could get nominated for an Oscar for his performance and I agree. Why didnt anybody see his acting ability before? If you listen to any of his cd's he can be all types of characters.Even though he hasnt taken any formal acting classes he still looks like he's gonna deliver a good performance.... --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title

Summary: Good Story.
Review: The movie was pretty good, I mean Eminem is a good actor in this film. The story was alright A white rapper in Detroit tryin to make a career for being a good rapper. In the beggining of the movie Eminem is in a rap battle but then get's nervese. Although this movie is deffinatly a rated R film, and I am not talking about the bad words and the alchohal/drug use neither there is some scenes that have hardcore sex. It doesn't show anything but It is better to stay safe. but its is good.

Summary: Screw You Carl Lentner and Kosmo
Review: Kosmo, you're a racist who can't stand to see a white guy succeed in black entertainment. STFU! And Carl, you're a stuck up a$$hole, who prolly gets ur a$$ kicked at ur school, punk.

8 Mile is a classic HipHop film. All the stars from Eminem to Mekhi to Basinger to Xzibit's cameo to great. This is a modern day rise to the top film. I'm just pissed that you haters can't see the greatness of this film.

By the way, Belly was tight but it wasn't as good(as far as acting) as 8 Mile.

Summary: EM COMES TO SAVE THE IGNORANT BLACK FOLKS.......
Review: The people who made this movie a success are the same people that buy Em's records and didn't even look at hip-hop as being a legitimate art form till a blonde hair, blue eyed non-threatening white man did it.

Em tramps around with all the black folks in the city as he lives the life of the "oppressed white rapper." the violent black men throw the word "niggah" around, calling each other "faggots" (funny how he uses that word but avoids the N word when he has used that word several times in a song he wrote in 1992), fight each other, showing their stereotypical savagery. what a sad story.... he experiences "racism" and his goals is to triumph over the Negroes and of course he does.

there is a bizarre scene with Kim Basinger's character watching a movie called Imitation of Life, which is classic movie about a multiracial child, I still cant understand the point of this ... there are some implicit racial overtones in this movie that have yet to be talked about.

A side from this vapid storyline the acting is weak except for maybe Kim Basinger... Brittany Murphy is completely unbelievable that she is "down" with the hip-hop crowd. It is embarrassing to see her dance sexy to the hip hop music, i doubt Brittany has ever been in 99% black club in her life.... Em's acting works like Madonna's acting did in Desperately Seeking Susan - it isn't that hard to play yourself .. or is it?

What ashame a movie like this blows up but hip-hop movies like Belly, the Streetz Is Watching or even the legendary Krush Groove cant even touch its success.
