Summary: An awesome movie--- James Spader was GREAT
Review: "2 days in the Valley" really made an ensemble cast work! The characters were great and we could follow each one of them really well. Besides the really unique, gripping, twistedly funny and smart plot, James Spader gave an awesome performance from the beginning to the end.

Summary: Most fun I've had with a cult classic in a long time. . .
Review: '2 Days in the Valley' is NOT one of those movies where you're rolling around on the floor laughing, but you will most likely find yourself feeling and cheering for this bunch of characters played out by an AWSOME and well-cast cast. Charlize Theron in particular (who has got to be one of the most beautiful women on Earth) will leave you thinking about her long after the movie is over. She and Terri Hathcer's (who does the best acting job here she has ever done) cat fight toword the end is the highlight of the movie by far. If you like quirky characters, cute gogs, unbelievably gorgeous women who can fight, and even coldblooded killers, you will surely enjoy this movie.

if you are one of those people who only like these big, epic movies (re: Titanic, Lord of the Rings, Braveheart) then avoid '2 Days in the Valley' . . . it's not for everyone :D

Summary: Laid back and stylish...
Review: ... that's how I'd describe this one. It's not fall-over funny, nor is it meant to be. It plays on how normal people's lives are disrupted and brought together, mainly by a murder motivated by life insurance.

The characters are all highly believable, and at the end you might find yourself sneakily admiring several of them.

Oh, and James Spader is excellent in this movie. If you've only seen him in Stargate, prepare to be surprised!

Summary: Underrated but Amazing
Review: 2 Days in the Valley is a great movie for anyone. If you like interesting story lines accompanied by amazing performances by very talented actors/actresses then you should watch 2 Days in the Valley. This movie packs a lot of star power with names such as Charlize Theron, Teri Hatcher, Eric Stoltz, Danny Aiello, Jeff Bridges and James Spader.

The story revolves around the events surrounding different characters, all unrelated. The movie has many sub-plots and develops them all independantely until they all merge together and we get the big picture. Throughout the movie, we learn important details that are all leading up to a great finale.

2 Days in the Valley isn't one of those mediocre films with a few good scenes here and there, it is packed with quality moments throughout. This allows you to watch it over and over again, enjoying it each time.

2 Days in the Valley is both funny with its wit as well as engaging with the ensuing drama. There is no great purpose or lesson to be learned from 2 Days in the Valley; it's just a fun movie that is sure to entertain.

As far as the DVD special features go, since it's an older movie the special features are pretty ghetto and consist of trailers but hey, what can you do.

I definately reccomend it to anyone willing to try new things.

Summary: James Spader Was Brilliant!
Review: 2 Days In The Valley is my favorite movie of all time! The cast is great, especially James Spader as a killer. The movie has many funny moments as well as suspenseful ones and was very well written and put together. I also noticed how the tiniest parts can be the funniest thing(ex-the killer pulls up right beside the cop on the highway and smirks at him when the cop looks down the barrel of a squirt gun without the cop even noticing). The cast was excellent and the plot was easy to follow and never got boring. It was one of James Spader's best roles.

Summary: 2 Days in the Valley...105 Minutes of Fun!
Review: 2 DAYS IN THE VALLEY is one of the better PULP FICTION clones. It lacks the script/dialogue and language of a Tarantino film but it has a slew of characters, an impressive ensemble cast and it is atmospheric of the southern California attitude. James Spader heads the cast as a cold-hearted killer (Lee Woods) in a plot of murder, revenge, fraud, two-timing and double crossing and the lives of 10 people who get caught up in it. The main story is a murder plot, however, there are a couple of sub-plots that seem out of place, yet the story keeps moving and the different personality types and the relationships with each other through this story is what keeps the viewer engrossed in the film. Stand out performance by Charlize Theron as Helga Svelgen, Lee Woods'(Spader)girlfriend and partner in crime. Great supporting cast of Paul Mazursky, Danny Aiello, Glenne Headly, Eric Stoltz, Jeff Daniels, Marsha Mason, and Teri Hatcher along with a great soundtrack.

Summary: A Movie For Tarentino fans
Review: 2 DAYS is a splendid look at the lives of 10 people in the valley who meet up and cross paths with a suprising breath taking ending. Superb performances by Eric Stolz and James Spader. Even if violence and blood aren't your thing you'll just have to watch Stolz and Spader work because of there compeling charectors and how they portray them. A must see for lovers of PULP FICTION or RESIVIOR DOGS, and any one who loves a deep action thriller. (you must be prepared to sit down and watch the whole thing, though)

Summary: Down in the valley...
Review: A film with a great cast, One of the most underated movies of 1996. I don't own many movies, but this happens to be part of my collection. It's of story of intrigue, greed, bravery, romance, ammunition, and dogs. Involving 10 people in LA and they all have one thing in common, 2 days that seem not to go their way. The film so well put together, you are drawn to these characters. It also has some great lines to where you might think it's a comedy if you're in a good mood, ex Danny Aiello's fear of "Another f**kin dog!!" Check out a great cat fight between Teri Hatcher and Charlize Theron. Grab this film on DVD, I previously had it on video but the selected musical score captivates you like you were "DOWN! in the VAAaaaalley".

Summary: Nouveau-hip rubbish
Review: A hitman knocks out a cop instead of shooting him despite having just committed a double homicide. A habitual criminal and accomplice to a horrific murder decides to risk his life for a cop. Yes, I know he was wearing body armour but there's still his head. No reason, unless we are expected to believe this sudden change of heart is due to the brief exposure to a good women, no matter how ditzy.
The end title music treats the murder of two law enforcement officers as a mere trifle.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: good flick!
Review: A number of little stories at the beginning that come together at the end. Definitely not a waste of money if you rent it from the corner store. Check out the cast of characters
