Summary: Awesome Japanese Movie!
Review: I dont think I have seen a better action mystery film.... that I just finished watching now.. I watched it will subtitles on a satalite channel. It was beyond amazing it was such a great movie. You guys have to see it! I am very serious when I say this because I for one am not a big watching movie in subtitles buff. This sure made me. The story line amazed me.. I had no clue what was going on.. it stuck me at the edge of my seat the whole time... while giggling screaming or staring in shock at the tv this was an amazing film! It even got me to buy a copy!

Summary: Not bad but...
Review: I think the movie was good but there were many aspects that the director whould have improved. I do think that the Japanese horror films are one of the best ones, but sometimes they tend to be too "occidentals" and they screw it up... Something that made me laugh a lot, was that the cops were extremely wiolent, corrupts etc... hahaha! They were even worse than Denzel Washington in Trainning Day! And I even laughed more when a guy shot the police with the Inspector-Gadget-coat-style at least 4 or 5 times and the guy was not dying!!!! Anyway, the movie could have been excellent but... these little things, believe or not, can really make think a viewer that the movie was a comedy, not a horror film.

Summary: Almost perfect!
Review: I was drawn into the story from the opening scene--one of the greatest, sickest openings in film history! The storyline is highly dirivitive (think The Hidden, Jason Goes to Hell, Shocker, and on and on), but the acting and direction are so good, you are willing to go along for the ride. One of the best thrillers (Asian or otherwise) I have seen in some time.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent addition to Asian cinema!!!
Review: Personally, I think Japanese horror is the greatest thing going right now. It's intelligent, devoid of all Hollywood flare, requires the viewer's imagination and has a creepy style unequaled by any other country.

'Another Heaven' succeeds in balancing scares, pitch-black humor, philosophy, action and drama all in a single incredible hybrid film. It's very well paced, with slick direction, quirky characters and some truly unsettling sequences.

Although not quite as accomplished as some of Japan's other genre offerings (The 'Ring' Trilogy, 'Pulse,' and 'Dark Water' among others), 'Another Heaven' is more than a worthy addition to the genre. I wish more distributors would pick up these films and give them the treatment they deserve.

Review: This movie is great if you love movies about crime and at the same time you like sci-fi thrillers. This movie covers all bases.

Summary: ANOTHER HEAVEN Can Wait?
Review: What if evil were intangible -- a spirit or an essence -- something that could be passed from person to person -- and what if it landed inside you?

And what if it landed in you?

Such is the basic premise of ANOTHER HEAVEN. Evil (an essence brought down from Heaven itself where it lives in boredom of all that goodside and righteousness and stuff) comes to Earth, inhabiting the bodies of several victims who become killers. However, a trio of police offiers -- two detectives and one forensic officer -- see it for what it is and break out all the stops (including a violent attack on a suspected fellow policeman) to bring Evil's reign to an end on Earth.

Some great performances and some gripping tension make for great moments in HEAVEN. While the opening is a bit out of touch with the rest of the film (I won't spoil it other than to say that you'll probably think twice about that bowl of stew you're eating), the dark humor sets a nice opening tone but fades away relatively quickly once our hero realizes that not only can the evil transfer from person to person but also it has a personal grudge for him!

Sit back and enjoy the chills!
