Description:

Featuring 5.1-channel surround sound combined with progressive-scan DVD technology, the Yamaha DVX-S120 CinemaStation integrates elite-level sound and video to successfully emulate (and even surpass) the theater experience. The DVX-S120 decodes Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic II formats, letting you complement most DVD movies with full, rich sound. In addition, the CinemaStation offers Yamaha's Cinema DSP, which actively replicates the aural attributes of a theater, stadium, concert hall, or intimate club, and Silent Cinema, which delivers surround-sound-like multichannel audio to your stereo headphones. Whether you're watching movies, rooting for your favorite team, or listening to music, the CinemaStation DVX-S120 generates exciting sound that livens up your living room.

The system comes with four satellite speakers and a center acoustic suspension speaker, each with a dual 2-inch full-range driver, along with a powered 100-watt subwoofer with a 6-inch woofer. The 375-watt unit (55 watts x 5, plus 100 watts) includes 19 distinct surround programs with 41 variations, and offers 192 kHz/24-bit audio digital-to-analog conversion for premier sound quality. The receiver offers an integrated AM/FM tuner, and to further enrich your audio options, the DVD player is compatible with DVD Video, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD-R/RW, CD-DA, MP3, VCD, and SVCD formats.

The CinemaStation invites users to add additional components with its host of video and audio connections, including two video inputs and one output, an S-video output, a component video output, two audio inputs and one output, an optical digital input and output, and a pre-output for the subwoofer. The system comes with an infrared remote control and carries a two-year warranty against defects.
