Summary: More than just sex ...
Review: The "professional" reviewers seem disappointed in the sexual activity that punctuates this movie. It's not clear what they wanted, but in my humble opinion the love-story part of the sexuality is spontaneous and true to what initial sexual contact is - urgent and intense.

More importantly, the movie is structured around Freudian notions of neuroses that stem from varied sexual / emotional dysfunction and each character within the therapy group puts their hangup (rage, ambivalence, timidity, abuse) on display.

From the painter (sadomasochist) to the attorney (obsessive compulsive), we get a telegraphic diagnosis of their stunted sexuality.

And in both therapists, we find men who have lost touch with their emotional cores - one becoming the cynic (Willis) and the other becoming the materialist.

As the catalyst, Jane March is a stunning lolita-esque waif who searches to anchor her real personna in others. And in Willis's character she finds the strength to emerge while simultaneously providing the cathartic impetus to reinstate his emotional grounding.

No need to "get by" the sex because it is central to the story line. The dangers and emptiness of the kinky stuff (sadomasochism / instatiable bed-hopping) is revealed, while the passionate color, depth and healing power of human warmth and union stand in stark contrast. And there's a nice little murder mystery to boot.

It falls short of five stars, (which I reserve for movies like Gladiator and Patriot), IMHO, but it is far from deserving the Razzie award.

Summary: Very good, and very sexy.
Review: It was a great mystery, and very sexy, with my favorite hunk, Bruce Willis. I have seen this movie many times. I refer it to everyone!

Summary: One of the worst movies I've ever seen
Review: This has got to be the worst movie Bruce Willis has done in his career.(I don't know why Hudson Hawk gets such a bad rap!)It's supposed to be a thriller I think, but it's not thrilling in the least. It's got boring love scenes with Jane March that seem to go on forever.Incidently,Jane March is very pretty but doesn't have a lot of acting talent.Overall I could hardly stand this movie(no redeeming value at all),but if you are into bad movies that drag on forever this is for you!Of course this is all just my own personal opinion.

Summary: Bad...Really Bad...Really and Truly Bad.
Review: Whoa, this one is a clunker of epic proportions. It is so stupefyingly crummy that one watches in disbelief, the way one gapes at a building being demolished. (Actually, the latter would be a refreshing break after numbing out on this two-hour groan-and-yawn fest.)

For starters, since when did: 1) A psychologist so blatently violate his professional code of ethics by blabbing so indiscriminately about his patients? 2) A mental-health professional continually show up unannounced everywhere he goes? 3) A driven sex enthusiast have multi-tasking skills enough for at least five partners simultaneously, and still be able to make it to group therapy on time (and dressed)? 4) Not one, but two people become absolute pinpoint crack shots with that easy-to-master weapon, the nail gun?

"The Color of Night" tries to be soft-core porn, a whodunnit and a psychological thrller, and it fails at all three. The sex scenes lack any heat; one can see through this plot blindfolded; and, if this movie has you on the edge of your seat, you must be perched on a two-by-four.

This all-time stinker might pass for a comedy if the massed talent wasn't taking the ludicrous goings-on so seriously. The money spent on this film should have been donated to charity. Any charity.

Summary: excellent psych thriller
Review: I thought this was an excellent movie, very suspensful and for me, being into the psych field, I thought very interesting to see all the different characters with all their different problems/pathologys....Bruce Willis is a great actor, no matter what he does, and his role as the traumatized Dr. was great... The sex and passion, spontaneity was worth it... those who dont like this movie, missed what it really was all about.... that is to bad for you... I bought this film and each time I watch it, love it even more....

Summary: Funny movie
Review: If you thought this movie was funny, then I think you'd like "Daddy's Girl." It's supposedly a suspense movie, but comes off as a comedy, like Color of Night.

Summary: Enjoyably, wonderfully bad
Review: This movie has some really great actors in it, it looks great, has an intrguing plot, and still manages to be pretty terrible--but terrible in a very entertaining way. I laughed a lot when I wasn't supposed to but, hey, how many movies make you laugh at all these days? See this for the fun of it and don't expect the quality cast to make it a "quality" film. The only "quality" here is unintentional hilarity. And, of course, a couple of wacky sex scenes. Oh, and a nail-gun, too, that's something you don't see everyday!

Summary: What were they thinking?
Review: That's the question you'll be asking yourself at the end of this joke of a movie(if you even make it to the end!). I really like Bruce Willis, but, to me, this movie seemed to be a way for our boy, Bruno, to have "sex" with a so-so attractive young thing without really cheating on his now ex-wife, Demi. Not only did the gratuitous sex and nudity not lend itself to an already bad and unbelievable plot, it just prolongs the viewers agony. Maybe, MAYBE if the sex scenes were even remotely sexy, my rating would have gone up a notch. I won't even waste my time critiquing Ms. March's performance or lack thereof. I'd like to meet the person who told her, "Jane, you really need to go to Hollywood 'cause you've got talent." I'd like to meet that person and slap him/her. In conclusion, I have this to ad: shame on you, Bruce and Leslie! You're better than this and you know it.

Summary: Suspensfull
Review: The movie was a shocker, the ending will surprise you, the acting great. Both Bruce Willis and Scott Bakula worked great together. I cannot think of a better movie that kept you on the edge of your seat. I think for people who like old fashion who done its will love this movie.

Summary: One of my all-time favorites....
Review: Forget critics or indie-movie house poseurs, I thought "Color of Night" was amazing. The twists and turns kept me guessing and the ending blew my mind. That's what sealed the movie for me, an engaging finish that I didn't see coming. Loads of supsense and mystery. One of my all-time favorite movies.
