Summary: A PERFECT Movie
Review: Well, this movie is certainly impressive. Even though its a copy of the 1960 - 1970's movie 'Dial M For Murder' it is a great 90's with better actors, actresses, directors, executive producers and my list could go on forever. With Gwyneth Paltrow starring the part as beautiful rich lady currently having an affair with a poor man who paints (Viggo mortensen). As soon as Gwyneth's Paltrows husband finds out (Michael Douglas : award winning actor) it is totally gone out of control. Is Michael's character really going to kill his wife? Or is he going to get someone else to do it. This movie is certainly not predicatable but I can tell you one thing - DIVORCE not AFFAIR!!!!

Summary: Entertaining and the accompanying audio narrations are great
Review: Excellent script and performances. Beautifully photographed with a laudable soundtrack. The accompanying narrations by Michael Douglas and the director are fascinating and made me appreciate the production even more. This makes the DVD exceptional.

Summary: A passionate thriller!
Review: Michael Douglas and Gwyneth Paltrow give award-winning performances in this thriller. Paltrow is a wife who is caught between her deceitful boyfriend and the husband she no longer loves. Michael Douglas is a man in financial trouble who wants to do away with his rich wife. It's a great plot that keeps your attention throughout the movie. The only thing I did not like was the extreme age difference between Douglas and Paltrow. Even Gwyneth Paltrow made a remark about that in an interview.

Summary: Sleek, visually stunning, emotionally sterile thriller
Review: Well-crafted reworking of Frederick Knott's classic play "Dial M for Murder" stars Michael Douglas as a greedy corporate mogul (hasn't he played this role one too many times?) who discovers that his much-younger wife (is there any other kind in films these days?) has been unfaithful. So he decides to hire someone to do away with her - and chooses her lover as the assassin. The screenwriter adds a few interesting twists and turns to the original story, and some fascinating psychological layers as well. But the overall tone is one of emotional distance, and lack of empathy for any of the characters may put some viewers off. Still, this is well worth checking out. Paltrow is less anemic than usual as Douglas's wife, and Viggo Mortensen is the most alluring reprobate in a film in some time. Kudos in particular to the entire design team: sets, costumes and the production in general all look terrific. And a nice cameo by Constance Towers (of "Naked Kiss" fame)!

Summary: Good plot, but a better one is suggested.
Review: The movie is all right and its plot is satisfactory. But I think this is a more suitable plot: Viggo Mortensen kills Gwyneth Paltrow, then Michael Douglas kills Viggo Mortensen before finally, Douglas gets away at the end; because, after all, it is "A Perfect Murder" right? I mean, while watching the movie, we would probably be boosting for or cheering for Michael Douglas, but he ends up dying, which was really frustrating. (Furthermore, Michael Douglas shouldn't be a bad guy in any movie.)

Summary: Better than I expected
Review: Though it was an old plot, there were some surprises. So if you don't have anything to do, it is not bad to pick it up.

Summary: Slightly different plot....
Review: Good casting, good acting, good script. What more can I say. Some twists and turns that take away from the stereotyped drama. The actors really take you into their respective characters. A thoroughly entertaining movie. Douglas just keeps getting better. Enjoy.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I LOVED this movie. I thought it was great, Michael Douglas's best yet. I am partial for I love Michael Douglas. Michael Douglas's character hires his wife's lover to kill her. Things go not as planned and now Michael must deal with his very much alive wife and the blackmailing lover. Michael is wonderfully sexy as a cool business man. The only thing I would have changed is the end, which I will not reveal. I highly recommend it, a good suspense sexy thriller. One thing I don't understand, who in there right minds would cheat on Michael Douglas?

Summary: VERY INTENSE
Review: WHILE NOT A SUSPENSE CLASSIC,THIS FILM DOES DELIVER THE GOODS.IT ALSO DELIVERS GOOD PERFORMANCES FROM THE WHOLE CAST. THIS FILM IS A REMAKE OF HITCHCOCK'S "DIAL M FOR MURDER" (ALSO WORTH CHECKING OUT.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: a good thriller though
Review: i'm surprised by the bad reviews because this was a nice little thriller even though it doesn't match the original. I quite like the ending they choose even though if they had picked up the second ending, the title would have been more expressive.
