Summary: Witty and fun
Review: A great little romantic comedy. But beyond that, hilarious. Some of Schaeffer's one-liners are comical tidbits begging to be repeated. It's obvious this movie was filmed during a very cold New York winter because of the looks on SJP's face - those alone are worth a watch. She's the perfect quirky mate for Schaeffer and when they're together on screen, it's just good clean fun.

Summary: The best romance I have ever seen.
Review: Actually, the title sums it up.

If you are artsy, quixotic, and hopelessly romantic...welcome to your new favorite movie.

Summary: Not nearly as bad as some people have said
Review: Although this isn't the most polished movie, it is genuinely entertaining, and only someone not remotely interested in seeing a romantic comedy would give it 0-1 stars.

I can't remember why I first picked it up (I didn't see it in the theaters), but it is a consistently funny, touching film. I'm not a fan of Sarah Jessica Parker, Elle MacPherson (who I feel turns in the strangest, poorest performance of the bunch), or even Ben Stiller, but I think it's easy to identify with people so afraid to be in love, but so afraid not to be in a committed relationship.

All in all, it's a bunch of laughs, and kind of a relief to watch something that takes itself less seriously than some of the big-name romantic comedies that are put out today and fall flat.

Summary: Great off-beat romantic comedy, a quirky feel-good film.
Review: Eric Shaeffer once again takes quirky, off-beat characters and makes you fall in love with them while being fascinated as to what they will do next. Shaeffer is brilliant as a quirky artist who is obsessed with a girl he sees only through windows while watching her with binoculars, and Parker is great as his roomate intent upon fulfilling a college promise for both of them to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge if they don't each find love by the time they reach 30. Ben Stiller also makes an appearance as a funny, scattered, mono-syllabic artist who dates Parker. The fun in watching this movie is to see how Shaeffer's and Parker's characters weave around these other people, and eventually find what they are looking for in each other. Great cast, great characters, a movie you will want to watch again and again because it just makes you feel good.

Summary: Intellectually Stimulating and Absolutely Satisfying
Review: Every review I have read about this movie has been like the above ones, but I will tell you what I know: I took a chance, I rented this movie although the odds were against it from the beginning. I noticed that it was a one-copy movie still left on the shelf on a friday night. I took the chance and was absolutely satisfied with my $3.50 purchase. I put it in the VCR in my dorm room and my friends adored it as well. Although the critics didn't give it 5 stars, a handful of freshmen college girls did! It is one of those movies that you can quote later on or laugh at when you have a flashback while waiting in line to buy a latte at Starbucks. The soundtrack is almost entirely from a CD by "Mary Me Jane", which I enjoyed enough to buy as well. Prepare for a kinky "When Harry Met Sally" that will intellectually stimulate you!

Summary: SP Factor 30
Review: I certainly empathize with the other customer who wants to climb into the movie and hang out with Joe and Lucy [and what about that apartment of theirs?]--even Bwick. They're engaging, delightful, and I never fail to sympathize with Lucy's seemingly surprising lack of assertiveness when speaking with her father. I particularly enjoy the scenes involving Joe, Lucy, and the children in Joe's art class, as well as Joe's interactions with the emphysemic, wheelchair-bound curmudgeon. Bwick's "arting" is alone worth the price of admission and the scene where Joe is jogging through Central Park is classic. [I wish there were more movies written by Eric Schaeffer.] All that's left to say is "Suntan lotion, baby! "

Summary: one star is too much
Review: I did not find this movie funny or heartwarming. sarah jessica parker is such a bad actress and i never felt the warmth of the relationship between her and schaeffer. it seemed forced and cold. the movie seemed like a collection of disconnected scenes lacking any cohesion. what i got was a movie full of unfunny and weird scenes that made me, ..., want to push them over myself.
as for the dvd, why make this movie into a dvd? there were virtually no features added. the movie is bad already and with the lack of features, this movie is better off in vhs format alone. ...

Summary: A great movie!
Review: I have seen this movie many times and I love it every time. The characters of Joe and Lucy are very likeable, as is the character of Bwick (a riot!) Though the ending is a bit obvious, the way they go about it is wonderful, as you will see if you buy this great movie.
