Review: After a little dd, I finally decided to purchase this system. Boy am I happy I did. The sound quality is incredible, and even though I am unable to put the rear speakers behind for the full surround sound experience, I am quite pleased with what this system is capable of. There are numerous inputs so you can hook-up your vcr, dvd, playstation, gamecube, etc. There is nothing like playing Grand Theft Auto and actually feeling each bullet from the subwoofer. With the click of a button, I can change the receiver from my shoot-em-up game to a nice evening of classical music. When you can sit there and actually hear the faint "ding" of the triangle in the background, you know you have a great sound system.

Items to note:
1) This system comes with a dvd player.

2) The subwoofer is fairly large, but on many other systems this is the case. It requires a separate power source.

3) The dvd player plays dvd's (of course), cd's, and mp3's.

4) The setup is fairly easy. There are different colors of cable wires for the rear speakers, the front speakers, and the center speaker.

5) There are two remotes (one for the dvd player, and one for the receiver)

Summary: Update on Previous review
Review: In an earlier review I related a problem with the subwoofer that I have resolved myself after I got to know the system a little better. The subwoofer was cutting out. I thought it was because it was defective and a protection circuit was kicking in but I was wrong. Turns out that since the subwoofer is always pluged in to a seperate circuit than the reciever, it shuts itself off when it is not recieving a signal. I now have the subwoofer turned way up on the reciever to try to keep the signal strong enough during the quieter parts of the movie so it won't inadvertantly cut out. When I am listening to anything other than music CDs and DVDs it still cuts out depending on the input. It happens mostly when there is dialogue and no music to provide a sufficient bass output from the reciever. A little annoying but I can live with it.

Review: This is an excellent system for those (like myself) who are on a budget, but would like to get a home theatre system. I agree almost completely with the other post listed here. My only complaint is that the regulator doesn't let the system get quite as loud as I would like. (But that should help give it a much longer life-span, and preserve it's quality over that time as well.) The DVD player is great and the receiver has a nice Tuner. It's a great way to inexpensively link up several different components.

Summary: Very pleased until the Subwoofer failed
Review: Three days of use and I am sending the subwoofer in to be repaired. It was a great sounding system while it lasted. I did not abuse the subwoofer. I use it in a small room and at most played the volume at 35 on a scale of 1 - 50. I promise to come back and award more stars if the service is good. If the service is bad I can guarentee that you'll hear back from me.
