Rating: Summary: The worst, or the second worst movie...ever! Review: This is the worst movie I have ever seen. My husband thinks "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" was worse, but I have never seen THAT movie. My husband is posted at Fort Bragg, NC and he has a lot of experience in stuff that young troopies like but he doesn't think even they would like this movie. Well...perhaps if they were bombed out of their minds. But even given that, it is doubtful. If the price was low enough I think this movie would be a pretty good gag gift!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: This movie is great, how could anyone hate it? It has guns, kung foo type fighting, women, square hogs, trucks, and SPACE!
Rating: Summary: Almost nothing good Review: This movie is one of the worst movies iv'e ever seen. The effects are just terrible, they should have used computer graphics(This movie was doner in 1997 when computer graphics were a standard). The plot isn't better and the acting is also terrible.Dennis Hopper is a good actor but seems to almost hate the role and Debi Mazaar altought also a good actor is hopless in this part.Stephen Dorff gives us a few good scenes but theyre not enough.Even the humor doesn't make you laugh.I can't belive why Dennis Hopper is caught by really bad roles these days(Waterworld etc.)
Rating: Summary: A sideline classic Review: This, like so many Hopper films, belongs in it's own catagory. Do not go for it if you are looking for a plotline or budget busting effects. If you like movies that look like the cast had a blast making, then this is one for your collection. It's more of a brain teasing parody than most parodies, probably an upper end "B" type movie. The first time I saw this was when I rented Modern Vampires, Killer Tongue, and Space Truckers. I was in the mood for silly that weekend, and I was not dissapointed at all. Funny what you can find under the "Cult Classics".
Rating: Summary: Bad Discs Permanent Storyboards! Review: We think this movie is a great sci-fi spoof & bought it on DVD over a year ago -- the disc we were shipped froze constantly & we had difficulty with the set up options, so returned it. We've bought it again more than a year later thinking they'd surely corrected this problem, but no -- still screen jamming requiring shutoff of DVD player & worst of all -- permanent storyboards! Anybody figured out how to actually turn the storyboards off?
Rating: Summary: JUST PLAIN STUPID Review: When I first saw the advertisements for this film on HBO,I was all excited and thought it was going to be one of the few movies on HBO that was worth seeing.I was wrong.Very wrong. This movie doesn't really have anything good going for it at all.Trucks in outer space? If this were an episode of the Jetsons,or even a Disney movie, then trucks in outerspace might seem like a nice idea, but this is a live action film with a semi-serious plot, which is why I find the idea of trucks in outer space to be a little bit,how shall I say........STUPID!You would think that even for an action flick on HBO,this movie would still have some scientific insight into the future of space travel.I mean come on!A truck in outer space? One guy making a life long career out of a job that has him living in a small little area the size of a truck cab that has no gravity, and traveling the millions of miles of distance between planets, all alone in a little area, with no one to talk to,nothing to do,for who knows how long, and some how,not only does he,voluntarily,of his own free will, keep this job, but he doesn't even do what all logic and psychology would dictate that he would probably end up doing, which is, basically, lose his mind! And look at how easily he seems to drive that "space truck"!He makes it look like traveling millions of miles through space is easier than driving a regular truck!Gimme a break! The action sequences are also pretty dumb, and the killer robot things really look stupid with those flashlight-like things sticking out of there heads.Don't buy this movie, don't rent this movie, don't even watch it if its on T.V.Avoid this film at all costs.
Rating: Summary: question ? Review: who sang and wrote the ending theme song for space truckers ?
