Summary: Not Anti-Communist Propganda
Review: It boggles the mind how anyone could see in this movie anti-communist propaganda. Anyone who saw this film knows that the "thing" was, in fact, a bloodthirsty, warmongerling, imperialist bent on conquering the world. That's the exact opposite of a communist--ask any liberal. By the way, since when has Hollywood made any anti-communist movies? Remember they also said the same thing about "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." Are too many people who watched this movie a little paranoid themselves? Are they afraid that they and their "fellow-travelers" might be exposed as the fiendish alien monsters that they are?

Summary: Watch The Skies
Review: Great! Great ! Great! If you like the old black & white sci-fi flicks from the 50's this is the best out of the bunch! First time I saw it scared the bejeesus out of me.
Picture this: North pole, military outpost, a very ornery alien wreaking havoc among the locals, nowhere to run , nowhere to hide! HELP!!!!Fabulous acting , crisp dialogue, on the seat of your pants excitement!Sounds like the premise for "Alien"
I believe the production cost$20,000, which is low in any year (1951)for any movie, but wow did they get their monies worth.
Kenneth Tobey stars, with Margaret Sheridan, and James Arness ( Gunsmoke) as the Thing!!!This one one you'll watch over & over! And remember: "Watch the Skies!!!"
