Summary: Spielberg falls flat here
Review: I have always found Spielberg's output surprisingly inconsistent. Probably because his ego really started becoming overinflated after the huge successes of the likes of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark, E.T., the list goes on, because often between these films, he'd give us a flop, and 1987's ...Batteries Not Included is that prime example. The movie is about a bunch of little spaceships who save New York tenants from being evicted since the building was threatened with demolition. The little UFOs I find rather cute, but the movie itself comes across as overly-sentimental and trite. It's one of those movies you might halfway liked when new in the 1980s, but when you're older, it's just simply tedious to watch. This movie is a prime example of Spielberg under a momentary lapse of reason. I have always felt the period between Back to the Future and Jurassic Park has been Spielberg's biggest dry spell, as this film was released under that dry spell. So if you wanna watch a real Spielberg film, try Close Encounters of the Third Kind, or for the kids, E.T.

Summary: Fiction from real life, wonderful tale!
Review: In real life, a long time ago, Macy's Dept Store in NYC put up a large store around a stubborn, little o lady who refused to sell or move. She was a symbol for protecting your family home and individual rights. When she passed, Macy's Dept Store annexed the land to fill in her gap, fulfilling their block-size store. BUT, in honor of that little old lady, Macy's left a plack.

THIS VIDEO is a wonderful fictional tale resembling that little old lady who fought a giant and won. A couple played by Hume Cronyn (Frank Riley ) and Jessica Tandy ( Faye Riley ) are confronted by an evil business man named " L a c y " who is using unethical means to force the couple out. When all seems hopeless, the couple meet space aliens who like to fix things. It seems the aliens enjoy the brownstone for their own needs. ADD: Frank McRae, Elizabeth Peña, Michael Carmine, Dennis Boutsikaris, Tom Aldredge, Jane Hoffman, John DiSanti, and John Pankow. This is terrific family film that leaves you feeling great about the universe and its possibilities.

Summary: It's pure "Feel Good" entertain. without "ShootUmUp" stuff.
Review: It is a great film to sit back and view without the expectation of learning a "life lesson." It is pure entertainment with a great cast, and beleive it or not nobody gets killed! A true example of a movie that can entertain both adults and children. To the individuals who have put this movie down, I beleive they have either been to removed from the little things in life that makes one enjoy "warm and cozy" movies or are over impressed with the "razzel dazzel" special effects of other moveis. I beleive there is room for both!!

Summary: Cute at best
Review: It is probably worth viewing once. For those who notice background music the composer is James Horner.
An old couple (Hume Cronyn, Jessica Tandy) won't move from a dilapidated building that the big bad agent wants to demolish for something profitable. A thug is hired to harass the couple and destroy the property. Tiny aliens that have a knack for fixing things thwart the thug's efforts.
Sort of a fairy tale with aliens replacing Heinselmachen.

Summary: Batteries Not Included
Review: Me and my family really enjoyed this movie. It was really heartwarming peformances by Hume Cronyn and Jesica TAndy, two of my favorite performers of all time. It is a welcome relief to all of the garbage being put on the screen today.
