Summary: Not Quite Truly Awful
Review: Barb Wire has nowhere near the class or entertainment value ofsome other "post apocalyptic" genre films like "TheRoad Warrior". I found it to be mediocre at best. In fact the ONLY redeeming value of this film are the substantial physical assets (and substantial they are) contributed by Ms. Anderson Lee particularly in the opening 5 minutes. After that I might as well have gone to sleep. The film concept had potential and the "Casablanca" adaptation was a good idea. There were some moments when the story had a chance for some interesting twists but it never quite worked. Ultimately, the whole thing came crashing down because of dreadful acting, lame dialogue and a completely transparent story line. Outside of Pam's gratuitous flashing this movie was just plain dull. Anyone interested in seeing Pam's body should just refer to Playboy. If you want a good action, "good vs. evil" popcorn movie, there are many, MANY more better than "Barb Wire".

Summary: Barb Wire is just a bad movie.
Review: Barb Wire is a disappointing movie. Based on the Dark Horse Comics character, the movie is pretty small on plot. The film's script was just poorly written. Writers Chuck Pfarrer & Ilene Chaiken (with story by Chaiken) could have written something much more entertaining but instead did not do so. This movie is also criticized for ripping off elements of the film "Casablanca". Pamela Anderson Lee was well casted in the lead role but was mainly just used for her cleavage, which was a shame. Director David Hogan just kept using Pamela only for her 'assets'. Hogan did shoot some great action scenes but really nothing more.

Summary: Pamela isnt just a pretty face... She has bigs... too.
Review: Barb Wire is a movie about a chick in war torn America who just wants to run her club and do the occasional bounty hunter work. The movie opens in a strip club where Barb (Anderson) is stripping on a swing while being hosed down (Do we have your attention yet?). After a killing a man with her spiked heel for calling her babe, we get her catch phrase (cuz every comic book hero has one) "Don't call me babe". Things are crazy in her world aparently because her club, which seems to be a mix of a leather/fetish club and Motley Crue concert, is the only one left that is a place for people to go and be themselves. Barb spends her days protecting her blinde brother, played by Jack Noseworthy, and her nights either fighting crime (in black leather and 7 inch high heeled boots) or running her club. She gets mixed up in a plot involving the government and a group of rebels (who used to be her friends before they left her and her brother on the battlefield to die). The rebel group is trying to help a doctor escape to Canada, and the government wants to catch her and get the information she has in her head. In order to get her out of the country, the rebel group needs a pair of retina disguising contacts to help the good doctor get thru an eye scan at the airport. Barb must find the people who have them, get them and decide if she wants to give them to the rebels and fight the power or be a "good girl" and give them to the government. Which do you think she'll chose?

Summary: A must see for for all Pam fans!!!!!
Review: Barb Wire is great for anyone who likes Pam or some good action. A nice story tacking place in the near future. Pam plays a comic book character (Barb Wire) and does a great job at it too. She's perfect for the role. Some mild nudity through out the film, a bit of humor, lots of action and even a bit of acting from time to time!!!!! I promise you won't be able to blink for a whole hour and a half!!!

Summary: A trash classic!
Review: Barb Wire is the Citizen Kane of trash! This film is an instant timeless classic and will be revered and studied for generations. Clint Howard is even in it! Superb DVD presentation is 16x9 enhanced to ensure this version's viability into the millenium. Also features about 15 minutes worth of outakes featuring Pam being sprayed down with ahose. A must have.

Summary: What do you want?
Review: Come on its not as if Pam said it was shakespear. From the beginning she said it was going top be a lot of fun, and that it was. Pam is Pam and of course at the time she was the perfect vechial for making money. It wont appeal to a wide audience but it fulfills its purpose, lets face it even if it had of been on par with hamlet a large majority of people still wouldnt have went to see it simply because of Pambo. Now an adaptation of Hamlet starring Pam called Pamlet might be what the hardened cynics want. Barb Wire is just fun and is entertaining to watch, watching it with this in mind you will see my point, just enjoy the movie and the DVD extras are a bonus.

Summary: Why would anyone see this movie? Hmmmm, I wonder...?
Review: Due to group preasure I did see it.

The movie was somewhat funny. I mean; bad acting, stupid story, everything realy sucked. That is the one point for seeing the film though (well, that and Pamela Anderson... but why not rent a porn movie if that is what you want). If you possess a sence of irony the movie can be rather funny. But had it been anything like Plan 9 I could have given it better rating for just being geniously bad. This film is not even that!

Summary: Big breasts deliver less bang for your buck than men expect
Review: Face it, Pamela Anderson is no actress. What is amazing though is how Ms. Anderson's body sells so well. Men's eyes glaze over as she clunkily graces the screen, and soon enough, no man even notices she was acting at all. Although Barb Wire has some nicely coriographed fight scenes, that is all the substance the movie contains. The story follows Barb, Pamela Anderson, run her night club and protect it from bad influences. The word is a dark and dirty future Earth. I do not have much more to say about the plat because that is all it entails. If you want to see Ms. Anderson in action, you can rent her best role, "The Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson Home Video" just about anywhere.
