Summary: cheap if anyone wants to take it off my hands...
Review: 1. the 312 different sequences is just the same 24 basic postures done 312 different ways, but there's really no reason for it, they were looking for filler. 2. much time is wasted going from one posture to the next. 3. the "extras" is a joke, all it is is you watching chubby jason moring munch on tostitos. 4. it's monotonous and uninteresting.

Summary: Good effort but..
Review: Good intentions that did not pan out.As an Iyengar practitioner this DVD left me wanting for more. There was no detailed instruction in the poses, even though for the most part they were well executed with the usual attention to alignment and form that can be found only in the Iyengar system..Try John Friend's VHS video to find out what I mean by more detailed instuction. The menu and the whole organisation of the DVD is unappealing and hard to work with, not at all user friendly.Who wants to click on numbers randomly in order to construct a practice routine?I bet that in the future we'll get to see much better and complete presentations of Iyengar Yoga on DVD.

Summary: Misleading
Review: I bought this with the understanding that I would be able to program my own routines and follow along as if there were a teacher in the room, guiding my practices. This has not been the case at all. I've done enough Yoga in the last 10 years to recognize that this DVD is probably more detrimental to the average Yoga practitioner than useful or beneficial. What actually happens in the DVD randomly chooses poses for you to fit within a time scheme, 30, 45, or 60 minutes long. The poses may or may not be related or in a good sequence; may include a headstand which, even though there's some warning! for beginners, should never be attempted alone unless you know what you're doing; never does an opposing pose (for example, after doing a shoulder stand, the fish pose generally follows, but this DVD can't "think" and therefore doesn't sequence poses in a rational fashion); and doesn't even do sun saluatations for warming up! I have NEVER taken a Yoga class where the instructor did not have us do some sun saluatations: Yoga is so much more than stretching, and you really need to warm up before doing many of these poses. I feel lucky that I have enough experience with Yoga to use this product; I would never recommend it to a beginner, and as a somewhat experienced practitioner, I am fairly disappointed.

Summary: Bravo to OnYourHead Productions from an Iyengar Practitioner
Review: I have to say I'm excited about what OnYourHead productions has created for us Iyengar yoga practitioners.

This is a cutting edge DVD utilizing the full versatility of what DVD can offer with high quality yoga instruction and guidance. Using it is like having my own on demand in-home yoga instructor. I'll never be bored!

I can choose my work out duration from the 30, 45, 60 minute selections. The DVD selects one of 312 practice sequencs using 24 different poses. Then I follow the instructor as he peacefully explains and demonstrates each pose in an accurate sequence to original yoga music. If I want to skip a pose, I can just advance to the next pose with the skip button on my remote.

When I really love a particular sequence and I know I'll want to do it again, I can save any sequence and recall it on demand.

The original music is perfect for yoga, but if I want to play my own, the audio selector on my remote will allow just voice, music or both; my choice.

I can see myself using this DVD for a long time to come. It's great to have Jason Moring's expertise guiding me at every step of the session.

You can get a little preview of what's on the DVD by visiting their website at onyourhead.com.

Summary: More Bhogi than Yogi
Review: I'm in agreement with the person who wrote: Who wants to see Jason Moring eating nachos during a break of shooting! There's an odd fakeness about all these poses. Something pretentious as well as ego ridden. It's no wonder he looks embarrassed in most of the poses; he seems to be "posturing" and not representing the spirit of the asana presented. He also looks like he's "zoned" out on something other than nachos. Very poor presentation. There is too much "see me do these very difficult poses" instead of radiating a sense of inner Union with the Divine. This dvd merely documents a series of athletic stretch-exercises.

Summary: Create your own practice?
Review: This DVD uses poor quality production techniques and the "add-on" features are unprofessional. The instructor is so uncomfortable in front of the camera I was embarrassed for him.

The DVD claims that you will be able to create your own practice using the 300 or more poses, but unfortunately there is no guide to tell you how to do that, and I still haven't been able to figure it out, let alone find more than a handful of poses.

Summary: Review of Your Yoga Practice with Jason Moring
Review: This yoga dvd is great because the demonstrator takes time showing the viewers how to do the pose. Many of the "beginner" tapes are actually not for beginners. Also, this DVD permits you to choose a variety of poses and create your own program if you please. I do wish it were on VHS however because I recommend it to many beginners and those who do not have DVD capability cannot benefit from this approach.

Summary: not for beginners
Review: You can surely create your own yoga practice at home using this DVD. However, if you are a beginner then this DVD is not situable for you. It is for intermediate to advance students as only the ideal or perfect asanas (poses) are demonstrated by Jason Moring. The DVD did not show how students of different levels can modify the poses or develop a practice to suit their own level.

This DVD seems to be a product of low-cost production. You will be disappointed by its look and feel if you compare it with other popular yoga videos in the market. I find the most awkward thing in the DVD is the "extra" part included in it. It isn't anything "extra", it's just a few off-camera shots. Who wants to see Jason Moring eating nachos during a break of shoting!

Anyway, if you are looking for a video or DVD for your yoga home practice, this DVD is not a bad choice. You can easily skip or play back a asana/pose as you like. The DVD will also generate a different sequence of the asanas (from a total of 24) everytime you choose a specified lenght of time (30, 45 or 60 minutes). You can repeat a sequence if you like. I believe this is an advantage of using a DVD as compared to a video tape.
