Summary: Foley's DVD
Review: Hmm. Very entertaining. And funny!
One of the big pluses in this DVD is that Mick is the narrator. He is a very funny guy. The Al Snow stuff are hilarious.
And of course this DVD holds some of Mick's most brutal matches.
The matches against Triple H are awesome and very violent. Lots of blood. I wouldn't recommend this for children. One other plus about this DVD is that is has 5 full matches hand picked by Mick himself. The greatest match is Shawn Michaels defending the championship against Mankind. This is one of the best matches I've ever seen, and I've seen lots of matches. It is 30 minutes of non stop action. A classic battle. The other matches, against Steve Austin and The Rock are also very good. New school fans will love the empty arena match against The Rock and old school fans will love the match against Steve Austin from RAW. both will love the match from 1998's Over The Edge, against Steve Austin. There is also a match with Al Snow against The Big Bossman featuring some funny commentary by Mick.
I dropped one star from the rating because I didn't like Mick's role as commissioner very much.
This DVD is recommended to all WWF fans out there, old and new.

Summary: Mick Foley is a very entertaining man
Review: Mick Foly is known as a hardcore legend of professional wrestling. He has participated in matches with nail beds, barbed wire ropes, exploding C-4 (yes, really), thumbtacks, tables, ladders and chairs. Foley is a legend because of what he put his body through to entertain the fans. This DVD shows highlights from the end of his career and focuses on the humorous segments he has participated in as Mankind and as the WWF Commisioner. It also focuses on some of the more brutal matches Foley was in at the end of his in-ring career (wrestling is fixed, but not completely fake). This is a nice DVD with a very relaxed tone as Foley does the narration.

The extras on the DVD include 5 bonus matches. They are
Vs Shawn Michaels
2 matches vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
Vs The Rock
Al Snow VS Big Boss Man

The best match is also the one Foley considers the best match in his career, that being the one against Shawn Michaels at Mind Games in 1996. The Al Snow/Big Boss Man match is a joke with running commentary from Foley and is quite funny. The humor is a nice addition because the match is just awful. Mick Foley, in his books and DVD, has had running jokes against his friend Al Snow. This match is just one more rib on Snow.

This is a good wrestling DVD.

Summary: If Only There Was A Little Bit More
Review: Mick Foley: Hard Knocks and Cheap Pops is a great DVD. I bought it expecting to cover his whole career in the WWE. The DVD follows Mick's last hurrah in the WWE, covering late 1999 to late 2000. The DVD itself has many great chapters. Here is a listing of the chapters.
1. Al Snow
2. Rock 'N' Sock Connection
3. Cactus Jack Returns
4. Royal Rumble 2K Street Fight
5. No Way Out 2K Hell In The Cell
6. Wrestlemania 2K
7. Commissioner Foley Is Here
8. The Cheap Pop Story
9. Edge & Christian With The Commissioner
10. Stephanie-McMahon Helmsley
11. Commissioner Foley's Agenda
12. The Commissioner As Enforcer
13. Foley vs. Stone Cold
14. Foley vs. Mr. McMahon
15. The Legacy Of Mick Foley
One very noticeable thing about these chapter is that they are very comedic. Foley is a very funny man and he shows it in this DVD. There is one section of this DVD that is very intense. Chapters 3-5 chronicle Foley's (Cactus Jack's) feud with Triple H. This was one of the most intense fueds in WWE history and these three chapters back it up.
The DVD also contains five bonus matches.
1. Mankind (vs) Shawn Michaels (In Your House: Mind Games, 1996/WWE Championship)
Both Foley and Michaels called this match one of the best of their careers. It was a very intense match that featured some great moves. Michaels back suplexes Mankind off the apron and through a table. This cool to watch because you can see Vince McMahon come over and try to stop the match. Michaels gives Sweet Chin Music to Mankind off a chair onto the top rope. This match features appearances by Sid Vicious, Vader, and The Undertaker. Great match!!!!!!! (9/10)
2. Mankind (vs) Stone Cold Steve Austin (Raw, November, 1996)
Entertaining match. There is nothing to special about it. This was in the beginning of Austin's rise to the top. (7.5/10)
3. Mankind (vs) The Rock (Halftime Heat, January 1999/WWE Championship)
This is the infamous match between The Rock and Mankind during halftime of the Super Bowl. It is more or less a Hardcore match. This is the best of matches, but it is something that we may never see again. Entertaining. (8.5/10)
4. Dude Love (vs) Stone Cold Steve Austin (Fully Loaded, May 1998/WWE Championship)
Great match with a lot of back and forth action. McMahon and his crew try to dictate the whole match. Great ending. (9/10)
5. Al Snow (vs) Big Bossman (Unforgiven, 1999/Kennel In A Cell Match)
The Kennel in a Cell was a steel cage surrounded by a Hell in the Cell. This match is horrible and flat out painful to watch. (2/10)
Overall, this a very good DVD. With the exception of a couple of the extra matches, don't expect anything from Mick's early WWE career. The best part of the DVD is the fued between Triple H and Cactus Jack. This DVD would be a good addition to someone's WWE collection.

Summary: WE WANT FOLEY- not WWE
Review: The title says it all. I don't know if he came up with his own material or if he really was the commissioner, but he did know how to grab the people and shake the foundation of the WWF. I like the extra matches and the commentary. It's nothing like those "Best of" wrestling tapes people put together using professional footage from ECW, WWF, or the IWA; it's actually better. I recommend this tape to any wrestling collector or for any Mick Foley fan; even a distant relative of the hardcore legend.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Mick Foley!!!!! The man, the myth, the ledgend
Review: Mick Foley: Hard Knocks & Cheap Pops is a great DVD. It basically follows the second half of Foley's WWE career. One particularly interesting thing about this DVD is that it shows the serious and funny side to Foley. Some of the funnier things that are featured in this DVD is his relationship with Edge & Christian, his role as the commissioner, and Foley getting the cheap pops. The best feature on the DVD was the return of Cactus Jack to face off against Triple H in a Street Fight at Royal Rumble 2000 and the Hell In A Cell match at No Way Out 2000.

The extras in the DVD are very good too. Well, at least the matches are. There are four music videos, one for each identity of Foley. I did not find this aspect of the video very entertaining. I will rank the matches for you on a star (*) scale. It is based out of five stars.

1. MANKIND (VS) SHAWN MICHAELS (WWE TITLE)
This was a great match that took place at Mind Games in 1996. This showed some of the early hardcore-type moves in the WWE. Shawn Michaels gives Mankind a side suplex off the ring through an announce table. It is pretty cool because Vince McMahon is announicing the match and you see him panic when they go through the table. Another nice move is when Shawn Michaels gives Mankind Sweet Chin Music off of a chair while Mankind is on the top rope. Sid Justice, Undertaker, and Vader all make apperances in the match. Michaels retains the belt by DQ. Great match. ****

2. STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN (VS) MANKIND
This match occured on RAW in late 1996. I don't really remember this match. I think Austin wins by DQ. **1/2

3. MANKIND (VS) THE ROCK (WWE TITLE)
This was the Halftime Heat match at the Super Bowl. What a great idea by the WWE. I wish they still did something like this. If you have never seen this, make sure you see it. Foley wins the belt. ***1/2

4. STEVE AUSTIN (VS) DUDE LOVE (WWE TITLE)
This is a great match from In Your House in 1998. It turned into a No DQ and Falls Count Anywhere match. Vince was the special referee, Gerald Brisco was the guest bell ringer, and Pat Patterson was the guest ring announcer. Undertaker mad a surprise appearance to backup Austin. This a very good match. It had a nice steady pace. The ending is the great. Austin retains the title. ****

5. AL SNOW (VS) BIG BOSSMAN (KENNEL IN A CELL MATCH)
This a match in which a Cage is surrounder by a Hell In A Cell. I thought this match was horrible and the commentating was even worse. *1/2

Overall, this is a pretty good DVD. Foley shows his many faces. I wish the Hell In A Cell match versuses the Undertaker was on there. That is the only complain I have. I recommend buying this DVD. It is a great to add to your collection.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Mick Foley Hard Knocks Cheap Pops
Review: This is an Excallent DVD. The Halftime Heat match sold this DVD. It is hilareous. The Street Fight 2K is awsome 2 but is graphic to children as stated in an earlier review

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Undeniable proof of Foley's greatness
Review: I'm going to be brief and to the point here. This DVD includes some of the best matches i've ever seen. The match with Shawn Michaels from the Coliseum HBK tape and In Your House mind games is here. The match with Austin from Over The Edge 98 is here, the war with Triple H at Rumble 2000 is here. All without completely superfluous undercards (Well, Rumble was good, Foley carried those In Your Houses though, and it's impossible to buy Mind Games anyway)

So whenever you're thinking of spending a lot of money on a tape because it had a Foley match that you loved, direct yourself here, a ton of the best in a neat little package.
