Summary: The NBA's newest dynasty!!!
Review: ...Secondly, this DVD is for LAKER FANS ONLY!!!

It is true that the 2002 NBA Finals were a travesty of a joke of a series. L.A. crushed New Jersey like little bugs.

The real meat and potatoes is the Western Conference Finals where the valiant Lakers defeated the cowardly Sacramento Kings.
C-Webb ("the franchise player") was nothing but a chump in the Game 7 overtime period (he took only one shot!). He looked better calling that non-existent time-out during his college days with Michigan! ... And Mateen Cleaves needs to realize that while he was a good college player at Michigan State, in the pros he's merely Mike Bibby's .... Mateen's "inspirational" speech during the team huddle prior to the overtime of Game 7 is an absolute joke! NO ONE paid ANY attention to him! HA! FYI: Bibby was the only one on the Kings to play with any guts or desire.

As for my beloved Lakers, what can you say that hasn't already been said about Shaq, Kobe, Robert Horry..., Rick Fox ..., Derek Fisher ..., Phil Jackson (the NBA's all-time greatest coach), and *my personal fav* Mark Madsen? Hey, I would LUUUUV to be the goofy white guy who sits on the bench all year long and then gets to dance like a ?

The special features here are a mixed bag. This DVD has a couple of interesting documentaries about Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant (which compares him to MJ, so you Kobe-haters will probably gag when you see it), some so-so stuff on Robert Horry and Derek Fisher, as well as some pretty ... footage of Brian Shaw and Samaki Walker fishing with a bunch of kids. We really need a better back-up center than Samaki. ...

On a more serious note, I hope that the Lakers' championship DVD for 2002-2003 has something about the splendid career of the late, great Chick Hearn. He was an icon for all of sports broadcasting and will be greatly missed.

Summary: I don't understand...
Review: I don't understand why this video was released, I mean the Lakers didn't even deserve to win the championship, and deep inside they know it. The Kings deserved to be the champions, but no worries, they will revenge next year. And no I never watched this I just really really dislike the Lakers. Hooray for the Sacramento Kings, NBA champions of the 2002/03 season.

Review: I respect that the NBA produces these "best of" videos for championship teams. This one is as shoddily produced and quickly knocked off as any of them. However, has there ever been a championship team as smug and unlikeable as the Lakers? Probably not. If you enjoy watching smirking millionaires bathe their egos at the alter of their league-office mandated success go ahead and buy this video. If you actually like sports with real meaning, go watch your local high school basketball team.

Summary: Two dvd's Two mistakes
Review: Its bad enough to make a mistake in the 2000 championship video by focusing on the finals rather the western cnference finals wich were the most thrilling.
On that I can forgive because the finals against indiana still looked like a finals series.
But on this dvd what excuse did the nba producers had to even mention the pitiful finals that occured between the lakers and the nets?
they describe shortly the great lakers-kings match and focus against the practice games vs. nets, even the lakers-blazers match was a thriller compaired to the finals.
I was really dissapointed and I think the nba producers should be replaced by others wich have more creative minds.
Nonetheless, anyone who loves basketball should love this dvd wich is good until the finals scene starts.
The covarage of the western finals are short but very intersting.

Summary: Great Retrospective
Review: Regardless of what "Laker-haters" may think, this team was an incredible dynasty. Even when it seemed they were on the ropes, someone always stepped up (i.e.-Robert Horry). Jason Kidd was the true 2002 MVP, but the Lakers are still the champions. Sacramento may be upset, but it's their fault. They were challenging, but who won Game 7 of the Western Finals, on the road, in overtime? Kobe and Shaq was a 1-2 punch that was unstoppable. Even though the dynasty is over, they rank as one of the best teams of all time. This is a great DVD because of the inside footage, as well as the extras. Definitely a 10 in my book.

Summary: Great DVD and lots of great bonus features.
Review: This DVD is GREAT. A MUST if you are a Laker fan because it recaps the entire Laker season, the ups and downs, and goes through each game of the playoffs.

All I have to say to yuvallica is don't be jealous because the Kings can't step up to the pressure and knock down shots, especially free throws, in the clutch 7th game. Wow the fans must have had it hard to lose the 7th game of the Western Conference Finals at home, since it hasn't been done in 30 years!! Maybe the Kings will win it next year, if Kobe and Shaq retire!!
