Rating: Summary: Works well with old TVs, good remote Review: I recently bought this two days ago after returning another brand's model that only worked with A/V connectors, even though it had an RF cable hookup. This VCR/DVD combo works fully through the RF hookup so I don't need to worry about buying another box to covert the signal for my 7 year old TV. Better yet, the remote that I received in my box came was TV programmable, so I could select my brand of TV and control volume, channels, and power on/off. These features make this a great combo for old TVs and new TVs alike, and provides everything you need for your entertainment system in one, sleek package with a great remote. Beware of other brands that skimp on these essentials.
Rating: Summary: DVD side is junk Review: I set it up in my RV. The VHS works great, Easy to program, Poped in a DVD and it cant read them, tried several including CD's must be defective so I would rate the DVD side JUNK!
Rating: Summary: I agree - the DVD side is junk! Review: Mine worked fine for about 8 months and then suddenly the DVD side stopped working. It can't read any DVDs. But the VCR side works fine. I would not recommend this product at all!

Rating: Summary: Worst product from Panasonic Review: Never buy this product, just after 7 month of use VCR Transport mechanism broke while ejecting the cassete. DVD Jitter once a while. May due to bad lense mechanism. Just stay away from this product.
Customer support is horrible, tried calling the customer support number several time, every time after waiting for half an hour or more just gave up. They made it such a way that you can't reach them. So don't count on the warranty.
Rating: Summary: easy to use Review: So far i havent had any problems. The VCR works and the DVD plays DVD and CD's and MP3's just perfectly.I havent tryed a DVD-R yet but I doubt I will have a problem with it. The remote is pretty easy to use, compared to other combos i have used. And the clock sets automaticaly if you have the right set up, I dont but doing it manually was easy. I didnt give it 5 stars because it wont let you play MP3's randomly or make a play list. It only lets you do random and play lists with normal CD's.
Rating: Summary: VCR Didn't Work Review: The DVD is fine, but the VCR doesn't work -- the sound is full of static even with brand new videos, and even though it's using the same cables to play both DVD and VCR sound. I should have tested it earlier, but didn't realize until we were past 90 days, and so we're stuck paying labor to have it fixed.
My recommendation is get a better quality product.
Rating: Summary: Great DVD/VCR combo Review: This DVD/VCR combo was very easy to set-up and to use right out of the box. We bought this for our bedroom and we have used it for a few months now. It plays both DVDs and VHS tapes very well. The VCR records easily and clearly. I would definetly recommend this combo to any person looking for an inexpensive good quality DVD/VCR combo.
Rating: Summary: Panasonic PV-D4744S Progressive Scan DVD / VCR Combo (Silver Review: Thisa is a very poor product. I used it only a few times, but it broke after 4 months, i.e one month out of full warranty. When I returned it to Panasonic--still covered by the parts warranty, Panasonic wanted $95 to repare it--the same as I paid for it new. My letter of complaint was unanswered. I will never buy another Panasonic product.
Rating: Summary: Well THAT was a waste of money. Review: We'd had this DVD/VCR for 4 months and had a little flicker-and-flash from the power company. Not even enough to reset all the clocks on things, and the Panasonic is dead. What a waste--and power surges aren't covered by warranty. This device is WAY too sensitive.
We also didn't like the way the fast forward worked on the VCR--not enough fine control for passing over commercials.
