Review: I needed another video recorder and I wanted a good one that recorded TV shows due to the crap that passes for TV now. Let me get right to it. I did not find it easy to set up. It took me to long(in my mind)to set this recorder up. The idiots that decide what should be put in a piece of a equipment must be 12 years old and watch MTV. There are always more bells and whisles than needed, but that probably exist in all electronic equipmwent, just look at a digital amplifier and tell me you understand that.

After recording several shows in EP and SP and playing the results, I was quite disappointed by the results. Most notable was the bleeding of color and not very bright. Well that's it for me, back to the store. I will say one thing in its favor play back of prerecorded tapes were good, but I want a recorder that records well.

Notice to manufactures of digital records, I have no intentions of buying one of your recorders until you simplify the use of these devices. I will not commit myself to formats that just keep getting more complicated. No more Beta vs. VHS "wars" in the digital area. Word to the wise. I quess I'm just to picky. I want to live in a world in which things should be as advertised. Does any one know where that is.
