Summary: Easy To Use
Review: An excellent VCR, only wish they still sold it. So easy to program, good picture quality and a great price. I'm looking to buy another VCR and will stick with Panasonic. I particularly like the date/time stamp when you record a program. I have owned many VCR's going way back to the old Betamax days(still own it too) including Sears, JVC, Symphonic, Daytron, Phillips but this by far is the easiest to use.

Summary: Upgraded from PV 6250; glad I did
Review: Excellent picture and sound quality with big plus of an illuminated universal remote. Manual tracing allows use of old tapes. Big no, no. If you plan to do snipets i.e. cutting and pasting i.e. dubbing; go elsewhere; spend more. No precise tape counter big loss.

Summary: Great for the price
Review: First I wanted to say that the comment about it not having a tape counter, almost talked me out of buying this model. However it DOES have a counter, perhaps the reviewer was referring to the fact that it isn't displayed on the front panel, only on the TV.

My only disappointment with this unit is the remote. The lighted button idea sounded great, but all it does is light the big VCR-related buttons which are easy enough to distinquish by feel. I hoped it would light the small, clumped together, buttons.

Otherwise the picture quality is great, as is the sound, and I like some of the extras, such as; channel labeling, "remaining tape" display, labeled indexing, and the "skip one minute" button.

Summary: I love my panasonic vcr!
Review: I bought the model before: the PV-8450 two years ago after some research in consumer reports. The 8450 has super reliability (no problems) and picture and sound quality comparable to the top vcr brands (sony, mitsubitshi, and toshiba.) I also really like the fact that this vcr can record in LP mode. Tapes in LP mode hold 4 hours and play better in my panasonic than other vcrs. I was so impressed, i also went out and got the PV-945H. This one is just as good if not better and has some added custimize onscreen labels for programs. Super vcrs! The only problem is the odd shape of the remote.

Summary: Didn't meet my standards
Review: I bought the PV-9450 looking for a cheap 4-Head Hi-Fi VCR. The picture on this VCR was very good, however the Hi-Fi sound had some noticable interferance (Static etc.). The VCR also had a loud ticking noise, this would happen when watching video, recording and just when the VCR was on. This VCR also does not have a timer on the unit, this is a feature I like. I decided to return it, the PV-9450 is fine, but didnt meet my standards :/.

Summary: A Really Decent VCR at An Affordable Price!
Review: I have recently purchased and used the "Panasonic PV-9450 4-Head Hi-Fi" VCR. I read the VCR's manual to see a list of features, available for this device. After reading the manual and seeing the features, I was impressed. The feature I favor the most is the timed recording (the ability to set a time range and date for programs to be automatically recorded) feature. I'm impressed with this feature for the reason that I miss some episodes of my favorite TV shows and movies that come on while I'm at work, so I can really use this to record and playback anything on TV that I miss. Another aspect of the VCR I like is the low price when purchased at Amazon.com (although, that can change anytime). It is very inexpensive for a VCR. In fact, it's the least expensive VCR I have ever seen advertised. The manual is pretty easy to read and understand, so anybody can learn how to use this VCR in no time.

Summary: The best VCR I've ever owned.
Review: I love this VCR. My favorite feature is that the clock sets itself by getting the time from the cable. That is great because I never have a blinking "12:00" anymore. Whenever the power goes out and comes back on, the clock instantly sets itself. Programming is the easist feature of them all. I can program up to 8 different blocks of time and it only takes about 30 seconds to program for one recording. Actually installing it to my TV and attatching the cable took about a minute. I didn't refer to the directions at all the entire time. And once it was all plugged in, it did all this stuff instantly and was ready to go. GET THIS VCR.

Summary: best of the last vcrs
Review: I purchased two Panasonics this Xmas. A bargain two head ($75) and a 9451 Model (to get Stereo & the VCR+) Both worked 100% out of the box. Great picture and sound. Last of the quality VCRs and cheap! Made in Japan says it all--quality.
