Summary: The best DVD and DVD sound ever!
Review: 2c??m a big fan of 5.1 mixes and I certainly know that the last reviewer is crazy. He/she must be deaf! It is most definitely the best sound mix ever for Rage - more than any Rage CD (the stereo mix on this DVD is the best). The Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is 100 times better than Battle of Mexico and most all of the 5.1 mixes that I have heard on various music DVD's (and I own a bunch). It just rocks. Rage fans can judge for themselves and will be most likely be blown away by this one. The guy who mixed this one should be mixing all music DVD's. Now to just find out how to get hold of him and tell him that.... rock on dude!

Summary: Goodbye energy, goodbye soul
Review: As one of the many people who had the honor of seeing RATM perform in their prime, I can tell you right now that this isn't anywhere close to what they used to be capable of.

I bought the CD because ... well, I had to. It's Rage. But it sucks.

I'm a big fan, too, so that's hard for me to come out and say, but hey, you can't ignore the facts. The problem with this album is that it's clear their hearts are no longer in it. This isn't a bang; it's a whimper.

I can go into a track-by-track analysis, but I'm not going to waste your time.
If you're looking for Rage in their prime, with all the energy and nerve they once posessed, check out the bootleg live album. If you're just a fan, pick this up I guess, but there's really nothing new on it.

Summary: Its Awsome
Review: Beileve me, this is an awsome DVD from R.A.T.M. You wont regret it all. Its also includes bonus concert scene (People of the Sun and How Could I Kill a Man, I think), Democratic Concention Concert, Bombrack Music Video, and one other music video that I forgot. (Sorry, Im too lazy to see it....) So therefore, this is an awsome DVD

Summary: Great, wish I could give it 4.5 though
Review: Don't get me wrong - Rage was and still is my favorite band of all time, but this DVD is not as good as The Battle of Mexico City for one reason: THE SOUND!!! This is why I would give the DVD four and a half stars if I could. For some reason, the bass is turned up way too high, and the huge chords that Tom rips are sometimes drowned out by Tim's bass. I played the whole DVD today on the Dolby 5.1 setting, and it just doesn't sound as good as it should. The footage is excellent, and the setting for the Democratic National Convention show is captured perfectly. I would certainly reccomend this DVD to ANY AND ALL Rage fans, yet some may be disappointed by the sound mixing. That was the only problem I have with this DVD, and I am glad I bought it. The bottom line is, with a better sound mix, this DVD would be unbeatable. Thanks

Review: i was at this concert and it was the best i've ever been to! the energy of the band and audience mixed with the amazing sound quality inside the grand olympic auditorium is gonna make for a great dvd. there were so many cameras in there, i know there is going to be alot of great angles. this was rage's last concert, and it really captures the electricity of their amazing live show

Summary: Your Anger Is A Gift
Review: if you know true emotion then i can't see how you couldn't think that rage against the machine is the greatest band in the world (ever). tom morello writes the heaviest, catchiest, and greatest guitar riffs ever. not to mention his amazing sound effect abilities with those digitech guitar pedals. the bassist compliments morello with awesome groove, and the drummer backs it all up with jazzed out hard rock/hip hop beats. i do not like rap at all, but zach de la rocha is one fine exception. he is one the greatest lyricist of all time, and doesn't "rap" like others, so please don't be turned away at that "rap" word. all together this band is beyond words. they have so many perfected songs and the most of them are on this DVD!
this DVD includes an extensive live video recording of RATMs last concert. from the beginning to the end, i was in musical heaven. they did a few cover songs as well as their greatest original songs (new and old). after this, you can also watch some music videos or watch another concert where the crowd got so rowdy that the policemen open fired on them! yeah, it got wild. but with de la rocha and his politically truthful lyrics combined with the aggressive, loud music, did the crowd have any choice but to get pissed off like a bunch of wild monkys at the cops? this is the greatest DVD to own if you're an RATM fan. and if you're not--try it out! listen to just a few songs of theirs all the way through and you will never look back. true music, true passion.

Summary: Watching It As I Write This
Review: It's always a treat watching magician Tom Morello play that damn guitar like a pilot flies a helicopter, using his hands, feet, elbows, and anything else he might need. The track listing on the CD version is in a different order. Does anybody know why this is? It seems like the DVD order is right because there are no noticeable cuts when watching it. When I watch/listen to something I want to experience it the way it really happened. Maybe that's just me. Oh yeah, this DVD rules. And it's not overpriced like a lot of crap is these days.

Summary: Now I Testify!
Review: Rage Against the Machine's new live DVD is awesome! The beginning/ Bulls on Parade is a killer start! The next tracks are same kinds of. Zakk is jumping and proving he's a real rebel! A hip hop rock'n roll rebel! The musicians are all good! They play like it would be their last gig ever! And it is...! My favourites are "Freedom" and "Born of a Broken Man". Those tracks are made more than with feeling!!!! There's also two members from the band "Cypress Hill" in the track "How I...". There should have been more from the album "Evil Empire" but otherwise this is very good! The bonus tracks are very very good! I love the two music videos "How I ..." and "Bombtrack"!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: bonus features are great
Review: The best part of the DVD in my opinion is found in the bonus material, the concert in front of the 2000 Democratic National Convention. It is awesome! It shows the meaning of Rage Against the Machine. Get the DVD and go straight to the bonus material!
