Summary: Advanced One on One Coaching (DVD)
Review: This is a great dvd for those young players that want to take their skills to the next level. I bought this for my 12 year old son who has been playing soccer for more than a year now, and who has all the basic skills and understanding about the game. So I decided to give it a try after I read the details of the dvd on the Reedswain site. Here's what it says:

This excellent DVD will help you coach your players to reach a high level of technical excellence.
Topics covered include:

*shooting--finishing rather than shooting
*accuracy before power
*awareness and vision around the goal
*12 different ways of beating an opponent 1 v 1
*incorporating body feints and change of pace
*crossing for accuracy
*making space for your cross
*passing for vision, accuracy and disguise
*creative wall pass variations
*heading--passing with the head, attacking the ball
*tackling--winning the ball with body position, footwork and attitude

I bought him this dvd because I wanted him to become more skilfull with the ball and evidently to sharpen his skills. The dvd features commentary from a British coach who teaches you the correct way to play the game with the help of a young player, who's apparently very good with the ball. What my son really enjoy watching was the 12 different ways to beat an opponent, how to effectively strike the ball when making crosses (since his a right wing), and how to shoot effectively and precisely. So far he feels more confident with the ball and last night he beat a defender using one of the dribbling skills on the video called the double maradona and later scored a goal with a great wall pass. So if you got kids who are eager to learn something new get them this great dvd.
