The MC09E1MG TV/VCR's light weight (18.5 pounds) and 9-inch screen make it perfect for home use in kitchens, bedrooms, and dormitories, while its ability to run off AC or DC power makes it ideal for camping or even RV or boat use using the supplied DC power adapter. The set offers front-panel audio/video input for easy hookup with a camcorder, game console, DVD player, or second VCR, and its automated features include autotracking, autorepeat, and auto head cleaner. The VCR's ShowGuard backup memory keeps all your timer/programming safe, even through power outages. If the power fails, timer recordings will be restored when the clock is reset. (The timer recording will not occur if it was scheduled to take place during the power failure.) Meanwhile, auto clock set with time-zone adjustment sets itself to the correct time from a user-approved channel carrying a time signal. Daylight savings time adjustment automatically compensates for daylight savings in early April and late October, so you don't have to reset the clock twice a year; just set it and forget it. When tape playback begins, autotracking seeks the optimum video and audio tracking positions for the clearest picture and sound. With automatic channel setup, the VCR tuner scans through television frequencies and stores active broadcast channels into memory. Then, only channels programmed into memory are tuned using the channel up/down buttons on either the remote or front panel.
