Summary: It's from the stone ages!!! Not user friendly.
Review: If you like to record shows, and also be able to watch video tapes, this is not the VCR/DVD combo for you. A unit like this should be easy to use, and you don't have to remember a bunch of steps before you can use it. For instance, if you programmed the VCR to record, you are not allowed to watch videos until you cancel your programmed recordings. So, after you watch your video, and if you forget to put the VCR back into program, it doesn't record. It just shouldn't be this difficult.

I also have a cheap Quasar VCR, and I never ever had to tape it out of programmed recording mode to watch a video tape. I'm able to pop in a video tape, watch it, and then stick my record tape back in the machine for programmed recordings. Simple.

Why must this machine be so difficult to use? Why must I have to remember all these steps? It is very frustracting to go to this machine expecting it to have recorded your show, and then it didn't because you forgot those extra steps!!! AAHHHHhhhhh!!!!

Summary: Not easy to program
Review: The remote's buttons are too small and it does not light up. VCR not very easy to program. Not user friendly. Can't turn VCR timer off from remote. You have to hit stop on the VCR itself. Very inconvienient.
