Summary: A classic! One of the most beautiful films made!
Review: I have owned this film on video for about 10 years now and I NEVER get sick of watching it. I own the soundtrack as well which is just gorgeous. What a completely perfect film. My favourite scene is where George Emerson is running back to the Pensione in the rain...ahhhhhh! On clear days I think of him in the tree screaming "BEAUTY! JOY!". This film endures, it is one of the most lovely films I have ever seen, if not the most lovely. It always makes me feel good to watch it, and it is so romantic!

Summary: My Favorite Movie of all time!
Review: This is simply my favorite coming of age film set in the most beautiful scenery with a fantastic score. And to top it off only male nudity!

Review: I own this movie and I watch it often. The film is breathtaking with its depiction of Italy during the time the film takes place. The acting is outstanding and after you watch this movie you will want to travel to Europe. Watch it and enjoy a memorable English Romance.

Summary: Entertaining comedy of manners
Review: I expected much more from this movie having read rave reviews. The acting and cinematography are very good, but the plot is too simple and lacks depth. Nonetheless it is an entertaining movie with some hillarious scenes.

Summary: wonderful period piece of romance
Review: I found the music and scenery beautiful. After watching this film several times, I decided to go to Florence and found the city to be as tremendous as depicted in the film

Summary: One of my favorites
Review: I love this movie! An intelligent, enjoyable film--with excellent performances. Helena Bonham Carter, the reigning queen of the costume drama, is charming, and the often underrated Julian Sands is terrific (and not to mention gorgeous!) as her suitor. More than just an art-house film--A Room With a View is a period piece, but quite accessible to all audiences, with some great Italian scenery, even if it does drag a bit. Overall--great! Buy it now...don't hesitate!

Review: Helena Bonham Carter excels as Miss Honeychurch and must choose between her fiancee or her true love. Wonderful settings and scenery. Splendid performances.

Summary: Delectable
Review: After spending two weeks in Florence during the winter of 1998, I returned to the States to watch this film for the first time. What a striking experience and absolutely lush with romance! The delightfully restrained performances of Maggie Smith and Bonham-Carter (and the choice cinematography!) leave you feeling as if you are truly lounging on a comfortable divan, snug in a blanket, sipping afternoon tea as you gaze out the window of a Pension in Florence, admiring a misty rain as it washes over the Duomo! Superb!

Summary: An incredibly delicate and romantic love story
Review: A wonderful movie for the romantic and eclectic person. The movie has wonderful scenery and a touching storyline. A beautiful woman and an eccentric man meet and their lives are brought together seemingly by fate. As their paths intertwine, they look upon their separate worlds in a new light. They begin to change their perspectives on life, but can their relationship survive the process?
