Summary: Watching it over and over
Review: Most often buying a full series of a show is a waste of money because you'll watch it once and forget about it. Malcom in the Middle is NOT one of those. I watch this with my kids over and over and still get great laughs from it. I would highly recommend this collection and I'm waiting for the other seasons to become available.

Summary: Season 2
Review: We all know the show is awesome, however, it is not obvious why season 2 is not out yet.

Last November the Minneapollis Star Tribune published an article that explained why many TV shows have failed to release DVDs. The reason is that some shows feature lots of popular music that was not originally cleared for DVD use in the initial broadcast agreements. The higher cost imposed by the music industry is keeping Season 2 from being released even though fox had intentions of distributing it last year. We may thank our friends in the music industry for this disapointment.

Summary: Please release Season 2!!!
Review: Having never watched Malcolm in the Middle on TV, I was thrilled to have the chance to watch this DVD collection with my daughters. Not only are the acting and writing outstanding, but you can watch the shows over and over again and still laugh hysterically. These are a great joy. Please stop the torture and release Season 2!

Summary: Thise Lost Sceens
Review: "Malcolm" ventured into new territory, a topless mon, (no frontal nudity), boys in their natural state, sleeping in their underware, as most boys do, boys being boys, seemingly without a script. Never do these episodes make the reruns, which is a pity. One can only guess why (censorship?) but they are on the DVD's of the first season. If you have ever been around boys or brought them up its propably the most accurate portral of children. Most of the "kid flicks" are contrived. This series is so natural you almost think you are a parent again. Thanks, but I am a grandparent now. We are looking forward to the releaase of the second season. This is a series not to be missed, and you can edit to your taste.

Review: This dvd set is great. I have been waiting a long time for season 2, and many others have as well. There is a petition on the internet for the release of further seasons if anybody wants to sign it.

Summary: Slam-Jump Editing Works Better on DVD
Review: Everything the other reviewers said rings true: the cast IS amazing; the writing IS brilliant, the show IS immensely entertaining. What I can add is this: because of the show's unusual style of slam-jump editing, it plays much better on DVD than on TV. (While commercial interruptions interfere with the momentum of most shows, it hurts some shows more than others.) Viewed on DVD, one begins to see that there is more going on in M.I.T.M. than just MTV-style self-indulgence -- there is an underlying poignancy about the struggles children of working-class families face in America. It somehow manages to convey that, even in the most seemingly dysfunctional environments, if children are allowed their unique foibles and eccentricities ...then there is still hope. I think it is an outstanding show.

Summary: Funny show...please give us more :)
Review: WE bought this DVD last Christmas (2002) and have enjoyed it for more than a year. The shows are fresh and funny and the extras are awesome! What I'd like to know is where is season 2 (and 3? and 4?). I wrote to Fox and asked and they said they have not even PLANNED a release date. I don't understand why the foot dragging on this. All kind of inferior shows are being released on DVD every day. I hope the delay is because they are working on it, but I don't have much hope, considering Fox's answer...NOT EVEN PLANNING?? Why?
