Summary: Entertaining, but do your OWN thinking .....
Review: I'll readily admit that this video series is highly watchable. Historically, it's a crucial collection of interviews with original participants in the events surrouding the assassination. And it's just plain spell-binding in its far-reaching and "we-have-an-answer-to-every-single-question" manner of presentation. But, unless you are extremely ill-informed about the most notorious murder of the now-gone 20th century, you'll notice plenty of holes in the "story" right away. Well done, Nigel Turner ... no doubt about it. But please, folks ... don't rely on entertainers (i.e. producers, directors, news taling heads) to provide your historical education. If you don't buy the Warren Commission's thesis, read and think for yourself. This "documentary," despite its industriousness, has served as mind candy for the uninformed who are more than willing to accept the 60-minute version of historical events offered up by professional storytellers rather than perform any basic interpretation for themselves. The Kennedy assassination was an incredibly seminal event, one that can't be explained by the hokum of a guy on the grassy knoll that shows up in a grainy Polaroid photo using laughable scientific techniques, or via the "confessions" of a Frenchman's lawyer. The truth -- or all that we're ever going to get -- is out there and has been for a long time. There is NO CREDIBLE SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE that there was more than one shooter in Dealey Plaza that day OR that anyone other than Oswald was the shooter. Plenty of subjective analysis, intriguing tidbits, shadowy characters, etc., but the road to truth ends at Oswald's doorstep. It is time, after a long and frustrating search, to get over it. Indeed.

Summary: A Dishonest Telling
Review: If I could have given zero stars to this, I would have. For this shameful perversion of what the true facts of the JFK Assassination are (which to put it bluntly, is that Oswald did it and Oswald acted alone) to advertise it with the title "The truth shall set you free" is the biggest joke imaginable. Oswald was seen by Howard Brennan firing his last shot. 19 of 20 forensic pathologists say unequivocably that JFK was shot only twice and from behind. The overwhelming majority of earwitnesses say only three shots were fired. All competent photo experts have authenticated JFK's x-rays and autopsy photos, and the three "tramps" were identified as nothing more than tramps when the original Dallas police records were released several years ago. Oswald murdered J.D. Tippit and was seen by eleven witnesses doing so. Oswald had no alibi, saying he was eating lunch at the time of the shooting with "Junior" except that "Junior Jarman" was on the fifth floor at the time of the assassination and was photographed in the fifth floor window.

This video is only of value to those who want to see an amateur job of propaganda at its worst, not history.

Summary: Great first eyewitness accounts
Review: In "The Men Who Killed Kennedy", you'll hear eyewitness accounts from people you've only seen in old films of the event. For me personally, the Zapruder film and physics (conservation of momentum) had already shown me that the final shot came from the president's right front. However, it wasn't until the final episode that I began to understand what happened after he was shot. There is a lot of good information, but don't think that all the information fits together perfectly. It doesn't. We each have to filter the information and come to our own conclusions

Summary: incredible!
Review: In light of the single bullet theory and the recent emergance of it.... Before you believe that: remember the head shot (which new theories never discuss) and the buy this dvd set.

It is difficult to ignore the photograhic evidence uncovered through new photo enhancement technologies and the numerous eyewitnesses which back up these photographs.

This series will have you on the edge of your seat. You will want to disbelieve it could be true.... But this series also makes you come to grips with the fightening possibility... that it probably *is*.

Summary: Very Engrossing and Riveting
Review: It is all here in 4 hours! There is plenty of interviews by key figures who were there(Connelly, Mary Moorman, Beverly (Babushka Lady) Oliver, Helen Markham, Wesley Buell Frazier, Ruth Paine, even funeral director Paul Groody who prepared Oswald body). This film does not seem to try to focus on anyone theory, which I found refreshing. This documentary, rather, attempts to look at the events in Dallas and events afterwards as seen through the eyes of many different people. There are, for example, interviews with the doctors at Parkland that inform the viewer of their valiant attempts to resucitate the President, funeral director Paul Groody who explains what happened when agents approached him about scars on Oswald's body, and how an exhumation was done in 1981 to confirm the identity of the body. There are interviews with Dallas policeman who recount the arrest of Oswald, and the televised murder of Oswald. The New Orlean's connection is also included with interviews of Jim Garrison who explains his theory about the role that Guy Bannister was suppposed to have played in the assasssination. One of the most interesting theories is toward the beginning in which the viewer is told of an elaborate plot involving the Corsicans! The new photographic evidence supplied here by Gary Mack has probably caused some to rethink the events in Dallas. This is the definitive documentary of that terrible day in Dallas for the conspiracy minded and lone gunmen theorists alike. Also check out False Witness(documentary about the Garrison investigation and prosecution of Clay L. Shaw)

Summary: it's okay, but theories are really far fetched!
Review: look. i'm a reader and a little investigator of the Kennedy assassination myself, but i gotta tell you, this video was pretty disappointing. it goes from a man in a sewer which is impossible and really explains nothing. you want the best Kennedy assassination video to ever be made? get the original tape The Men Who Killed Kennedy. now that's a heck of a tape with everything you need to know abou the assassination.

Summary: Parts 7-9 What They Don't Want You To See!
Review: Parts 1-6 are great. But Parts 7-9 are a MUST SEE.

DO NOT BUY THIS, MAKE THEM OFFICIALLY RELEASE PARTS 7-9

THE FINAL CHAPTER:

Part 7: Smoking Guns: (The Secret Service failings and possible autopsy fraud and cover-up)

Part 8: Love Affair: (A Woman comes forward claiming to be Lee Harvey Oswald's mistress.)

Part 9: Guilty Men: (See the allegations that Lyndon B. Johnson had JFK killed.)

I own parts 7-9 and they are the best parts!

It's time we find out why JFK was killed and why our government continues to cover it up.

Summary: Fascinating
Review: So many years have passed and we finally know the name of one of the assassins. A great two disc DVD set.

Summary: One too many theories
Review: The Men Who Killed Kennedy is a joke. Nigel Turner, the producer of these so called assassins is one person the Kennedys will never invite to their home. I, too, find the conspiracy theory irresistible especially since the "real" assassin (Oswald) himself was assassinated. The mafia, LBJ (absolutely ludicrous), the CIA, would have been more intriguing assassins then Lee Harvey Oswald, a mentally unstable individual. Yet Turner will find all these inconsequential individuals and present a case that has never been proven or tried in court, that they knew of a "plot" to murder President Kennedy. Oswald's mistress, that just made me laugh...Barr McLellan (there's a hole in his story), and so forth with the other interviewees who never once convinced this viewer of a planned "conspiracy". . Maybe those gruesome autopsy photos will make you wonder a bit but every shred of evidence in the JFK assassination points to Oswald as the shooter. He committed the crime, Oswald is the guilty party. Who these other men are that planned, but never pulled the trigger, I have no idea, but I'm guessing that any conspiracy theorist will find new ammunition in this. To me, this is a load of crap and need to vent my anger somehow because I wasted time on it.

Summary: The Truth About the Assassination of JFK
Review: The Men Who Killed Kennedy is an outstanding documentary on the assassination of President Kennedy. It accurately discusses the problems with the US government's official version of the events in Dallas while offering its own conclusion. The witnesses interviewed all have an important story to tell and should be listened to. There description of what happened on Dealey Plaza that fateful day contradicts what our government has told us. If we are to truly understand the reasons why President Kennedy was killed, we will be more able to change the way our system is run. If we fail to reconcile our past, then we do not have a very bright future.
President Kennedy was going to lessen the influence of the military on the US political process. His actions during the Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis, and his attempt to end US influence in Vietnam all demonstrate his willingness for reform. As a result, he was killed by the people who wanted to hold on to their power that Kennedy was trying to lessen. The Men Who Killed Kennedy documentary accurately explains these connections. It is necessary that all people see this documentary so they can gain some knowledge of the truth.
