Description:

As TV technology continues to improve, there's one video breakthrough from years past that remains noticeably rare--the depth-defying flair of 3D. X3D Technologies commits itself to altering this landscape with its TVBox and accompanying glasses, which convert almost all two-dimensional content (high-definition and flat-screen sources excluded) into vibrant 3D. Do your movies need a little extra panache? Imagine the battle scenes of The Lord of the Rings in Extreme 3D (as X3D labels its service). Do Xbox, PlayStation2, and GameCube games seem a little lifeless? Try adding an extra dimension to Halo 2 or Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

The set-top box connects to your CRT TV or other component through its S-video or composite inputs, and then runs broadcast signals through its X3D Gateway conversion software to adapt almost any 2D content to 3D. The product works with TVs, game consoles, cable TV boxes, DVD players, and VCRs. Once up and running, merely put on the wireless X3D glasses and away you go. Additional glasses for friends and family are sold separately.
