Summary: excellent!
Review: my 18-month-old daughter loves blue's clues, and could care less if joe or steve shows up. this particular dvd seems to be her favorite, and she yells "yeah" throughout the whole thing! my husband and i really like it because it's a great non-cheesy way to introduce shapes and colors to little ones, and the music is really fun too. all 3 of us would very highly recommend this dvd!

Summary: Joe is not terrible! The dvd is great!!
Review: My kids find Joe to be as entertaining and fun to watch as Steve. I teach preschool and all of the kids love both Steve and Joe. It is really good when kids can learn to adjust to changes. Afterall, change is a part of life and they will be faced with changes throughout thier entire life. This program is both entertaining and educational. A real keeper!

Summary: Great DVD
Review: My kids just love this dvd. They're 5 and 3 and walk around the house singing "Colors Colors Everywhere...." It's a great learing experience for shapes and colors!

Summary: New host "Joe" is TERRIBLE!
Review: My son refused to watch this! He cried through 15 minutes of it until I put on an older Blue's Clues that had the regular host, "Steve". I had to return it.

Be careful! The new "Joe" dvds say "Steve Burns" on them, but read the whole description, and look for any mention of "Joe".

Summary: My 3 year old kids love this DVD
Review: My twins have learned new colors and shapes, from the many taught in this two-part DVD. Who thought a three year old could learn to say "trapezoid"? My son likes to be a "shape searcher" along with everyone in the video, and find shapes when we go places; in fact he saw a "triangle of birds" a few weeks ago (geese flying in a V formation).

Summary: Joe is not terrible! The dvd is great!!
Review: My two-year-old loves Blue's Clues. She has seen episodes with both Joe and Steve on the show and she honestly can't tell the difference. She definitely likes Joe better because she even calls Steve "Joe"!

My daughter really enjoys this DVD about Shapes and Colors. It has really helped her to recognize more shapes and get her colors down right. She loves to watch these episodes over and over again!

If your child loves Blue's Clues with the colorful images and cute songs, then he/she will definitely love this DVD!

Summary: Come back, Steve!
Review: My younger sons (ages 3 yrs and 19 months at this writing) live for Blue's Clues. My older son (now 10) and two nephews (now 8 and 5) grew up with Steve and Blue). But the "Joe" videos make my kids run away - the youngest screams whenever he so much as hears "Joe"'s voice. He's just plain creepy, albeit in a wholesome yet moronic way.

Of course, this is just a caveat against the "Joe" factor - if your kids can get past the creepiness of this pale shadow of Steve Burns, the episodes themselves are pretty good - pretty much the standard BC fare. But if this pretender to the Blue throne makes your children cry and your teeth grind and intestines clench and such, then stick to the USDA Certified Steve episodes.
