Summary: !!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: You'll wonder why you ever paid money to get into movies and rock concerts.... no other show (except maybe Cirque de Soliel) contains so much insane skill in one place. It's not just about mindblowing talent... it's about countless years of butt-busting education, discipline, and practice. It's not about looks or luck or being in the right place at the right time. These performers are the best of the best, and they genuinely earned their way through cut after cut to the top with blood, sweat, tears (and aforementioned mindblowing talent)

Blast is cutting-edge marching.

Blast is every high school bandee's wet dream.

Blast makes jocks understand why marching band is the coolest damn thing on the face of this planet.

Summary: I saw BLAST! live...
Review: I saw BLAST! and the BLAST! master class when it came to my city. All I want to do is say that it was one of the most amazing and mind-boggling experiences of my life. I want to reccomend this DVD to anyone who loves music, marching band(props to marchers everywhere) or lovers of DCI drum corps type shows. This is an amazing example of where music (and marching band!) can take you. I encourage all musicians or marchers to watch this show- you will be thoroughly amazed and inspired. Enjoy! ~Kat =^^=

Summary: GREAT for kids!!!
Review: Our 3 year old son saw segments from Blast at Disneyland and was completely mesmerized. We bought the DVD for Christmas last year and he has literally watched it (he gets to pick three songs a night) every single night this entire year!

As parents, it is rare to find something that is equally interesting (OK, tolerable!!) for adults and children, but Blast has kept us all entertained, through many, many viewings. This is the perfect DVD to inspire young and older musicians alike.

Summary: No Contest
Review: For those of you who do not appreciate this fine piece of work it takes some pure steel balls, I mean come on, marching band meets ballet meets anything else you could possibly want. Coming from my own experiences with Blast (seeing them preform live [Raleigh, NC 2003]) nothing can top this except seeing them live like i have..... you must enjoy the craftsmanship and talent it takes to do all the complicated manuevers that they do and while playing all that MEMORIZED music. Keep this DVD on your shelfs at all times

Summary: If you've never seen stomp....
Review: then you'll probably dig this. However, after seeing Stomp 3 times, Blast did very little for me, except when they did their infrequent...stomp[-like] skits. The songs were repetitive, and were not diverse enough. There were some cool parts, enough to give 2 stars, but beyond that, my fiance and I got bored half way through....Go see Stomp, or rent Stomp Out Loud, and they will make Blast look like second rate [mimics].

Summary: Brilliant
Review: Quite possibly the coolest production that I have ever seen. Absolutely amazing. Marching meets theatre, unbeatable

Summary: Disapointed
Review: I watched this dvd by myself and was throughly blown away. I asked our Symphony Directer to watch it with me and he said this dvd was pre-recorded. He should know, being the director for 20 years. Thats was disappointing.

Summary: VERY AWESOME
Review: This DVD is great and I would highly suggest it to anyone who likes music. This DVD was filmed in 2000, I saw them do it live in 2002....there are a few improvements they did by 2002 and nothing can beat the feeling from the live show but this comes close. This shows you the raw talent this group of 50 has, and the video does a great job of capturing the even, as good as film can do.

You must get it and show it to your music friends. Remember to bring them to see them live if you are lucky enough to have them visit near you.

Summary: AWESOME
Review: I have to say, I was in total AWE !!! when I saw VHS version of "BLAST". I would also like to see the DVD format or even LIVE.
I know that kind of show can be performed on a football field, but on a stage????.
The music was a nice selection and familiar to me, having been in the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps for many years.
I definitely see some Drum Corps precision training and marching.

Summary: Incredible show!
Review: I write this with a little bit of a bias because I know one of the people performing in the show. He was actually in it from the very beginning, when it started in London, and I was probably one of the first people to see actually SEE it on vid, as he and his wife kindly let me watch THEIR copy before it was "officially" relased. I must say, though, this DVD is AMAZING! I was excited about the vid, but the DVD just really puts it ALL to shame. The clarity and picture are incredible, and the colors really jump out at you. It's such a pleasure to watch a show that I've been anticipating since its very beginning, and this DVD is an amazing way to see it. Honestly, people, if you're tired of the "same old, same old" theatre stuff then WATCH THIS!
