Description:

The compact, lightweight Sharp DT-300 home theater projector turns your living room into a cinema. It's small enough to easily fit on a shelf, cabinet or small side table, and it offers a huge picture that's great for watching sports, movies, TV, and even playing video games. The DT-300 is EDTV (enhanced-definition television) capable, outfitted with a 16:9 chip, and has a native true widescreen resolution of 1024 x 576.

It offers your choice of video connections: component (Y, Pb, Pr), RCA video, S-video, 15-pin D-Sub, and DVI digital inputs. You can connect from your home theater receiver, directly from a DVD player, or from your home PC.

DLP, or Digital Light Processing technology (developed by Texas Instruments), allows purely digital connections between video sources and the projection system in front of you. The DT-300 uses TI's "Matterhorn" widescreen 0.6-inch DMD (Digital Micromirror Device), which provides superior image quality. Its 2,000:1 contrast ratio delivers outstanding color separation, while its 700 Ansi lumens rating allows for excellent viewing even with ambient light. Other features include switchable modes between 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios, a lens-shift function that lets you adjust the screen height with a simple rotating dial, and a 4,000-hour lamp life.
