Description:

A full-featured PC monitor and a high-quality television encased in one slender frame, the HDTV-ready HLTV-20SS from Helios boasts a 20.1-inch liquid-crystal screen (merely 2.65 inches deep), a standard 4:3 aspect-ratio, wide (160-degree) viewing angles, a high (400:1) contrast ratio, and vivid brightness (450 cd/m2). It's a great choice for your home, yacht, or anywhere you'd like to see a quality image from a compact package.

Its standard and high-definition inputs offer great source flexibility, accommodating everything from VCRs and DVD players to DTV set-top boxes (required for HDTV viewing) and personal computers. Screen resolution is 640 x 480 pixels (VGA), with PC monitor support up to 800 x 600 (SVGA). A host of technology features optimizes image quality, among them adaptive motion de-interlacing, digital progressive line scaling, a digital 3D comb filter (NTSC), automatic frequency detection, selectable preset color temperature settings (low: 5,400K; standard: D6,500, and high: 9,300K), and five preprogrammed picture-optimizer modes.

TV options include a 181-channel NTSC tuner teletext/closed-caption decoding, favorite-channel programming, channel lock (V-Chip parental control), and a sleep timer. For audio, the set offers stereo speakers powered by three watts apiece, automatic volume limiting (AVL), a five-band graphic equalizer with five preset and user modes, simulated surround sound, and a set of variable-level RCA analog audio outputs (perfect for integrating the set with your home theater receiver). Additional features include a stereo headphone jack, PC input phase-clock adjustment, auto synchronization, and a choice of horizontal or vertical positioning.
