Description:

Samsung's sleek, 24-inch high-resolution widescreen LCD television puts all your home entertainment right in front of you: PC, DVD, and DTV inputs; built-in NTSC tuner; and stand-alone stereo speakers powered by 5 watts each. At less than 3 inches deep, the set could hardly be easier to place.

The LTM245W is a TFT active-matrix HDTV monitor with impressive 1,900 x 1,200 resolution. Image quality is enhanced by a 3D digital comb filter, an extremely high contrast ratio (500:1), an exceptional peak brightness of 350 candles/square meter, and wide viewing angles (170 degrees by 170 degrees). Line-doubling upconverts NTSC sources to flicker-free, progressive-scan images. Throw in 60,000-hour lamp life and PC and multichannel picture-in-picture with split-screen capability, and you're looking at a sweet little set.

Connections include one S-video input, one composite-video input, an RF input (for older VCRs and cable boxes), and two component-video inputs (one progressive-scan DVD-oriented 480i video input, one DTV-ready 480p/720p/1080i input), as well as a DVI input for your PC. A headphone jack affords private listening, and Virtual Dolby surround sound simulates surround sound from any two speakers. The set includes hardware for wall and ceiling mounting.
