Description:

Toshiba's 43A62 puts high-end video within reach. The 43-inch 4:3 projection set offers a host of picture-enhancing technologies and convenient features. The set's proprietary PowerFocus lenses and PowerFocus HD CRTs achieve a 10 percent increase in brightness and a 25-percent increase in sharpness over conventional CRTs for crisp. Originally used only in HD projections TVs, these CRTs are now finding their way to Toshiba's analog projection TVs.

ColorStream component-video inputs provide the ultimate picture quality from interlaced component-video signals; standard composite-video inputs accommodate all DVD players and most other video sources. You get two sets of rear AV inputs (one with S-video) as well as one set of front AV inputs for easy connection with a camcorder or gaming console. A rear AV output lets you hook the set up with a surround receiver.

While most CRT's can create a fairly precise, round beam spot in the center of the picture, many create a less precise elliptical beam spot at the edges and corners. Dynamic Quadruple Focus utilizes both horizontal and vertical beam adjustment to ensure that even the edges and corners also have a precise beam spot for a sharp, uniform picture from corner to corner. TruView is a suite of video circuitry that includes Black Level Expansion, Fine White, Flesh Tone Correction, and Color Detail Enhancer. This system ensures true colors and more accurate picture detail, for a more natural and realistic video image. High-contrast TheaterShield serves the dual purpose of providing screen protection and improving contrast, while direct video input selection simplifies source selection. The set saves optimized settings for any input source.
