Summary: Very Pleased
Review: I read the reviews from other people. The guy who didn't like the speakers, must like it very loud. The volumne and quality is very good. For a normal size kitchen, its loud enough. The picture is very clear. We connected it to our cable and its a beautiful picture. My only complaint is because its a flat screen, you must view from straight on. But this is true of all flat screens. The man who said you have very little room to connect is right on. So, we connected all wires first, then hung it up under the cabinet,This worked out well.I would recommend this product to anyone who will use it often, as the price is a bit high.

Summary: funusual.
Review: Just a little over 12 months, or the length of a warrenty the unit deprogrammed itself from receiving anything but off air channels. After reading other reviews of audiovox drop down TV's I believe this to be a common problem. Cable is now useless on this tv. It has been well cared for and there was no other reason for the change to 2-13. I purchased the product 11-2003 through another online service. At over 600$ I'm more than a little let down. The fun ended when the tuner went south with the warrenty.

Summary: very nice product overall
Review: The space behind the unit is too little to comfortably connect all of the wires, especially things like the AV cables and audio out. I recommend doing all of your wiring ahead of time and verifying space behind the unit before screwing anything in. The speakers on the unit are very poor, but I anticipated this and wired a 3 piece computer speaker set to the unit. It sounds good and I would recommend doing similar for others purchasing the unit, no sense not spending an extra $30-$100 for nice sound. The remote is not a credit card sixed magnetic remote, rather it is a "real" remote but works fine. I don't like that you must change to "DVD" to open the DVD/CD tray, if you attempt to do this in TV or radio mode it will change to preset #6(alternate use of the button).

With the exception of the above complaints I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend this product to others. I'm pressuring Audiovox support to release specs regarding what bitrates of MP3s are acceptible, what sort of burnable media will work, etc. but they are so far not much help. Most CD-R/RW media types seem to work fine, there is an 11 character limit for folder and file names and ID3 tags are not used, just filenames. You must have exactly 1 level of folders in your root directory of an MP3 cd with the songs in those folders.

Anyone know of a forum or support site for these things?

Summary: Screen Lasted for 2 1/2 Months.
Review: The unit's speakers are very poor however once you hook up a pair of computer speakers it sounds great. The quality of the screen is average. You generally need to be looking directly at in order to see it clearly. After 2 ½ months the screen went. It would remain on for a few seconds and the shut off. If you turned it on and off numerous times it might last for 5 - 10 minutes before going out again. It is now being sent to Audiovox for repairs. If you look at other reviews it seems to be a defect w/ the unit. Not worth your money.

Summary: Nice Product
Review: This is a very nice product, combining a dvd/cd/mp3 player with flat screen tv and radio functions. Most of these undercounter units are much smaller and don't include the player function. The 10.4 inch display is really about as small as you want to go for decent visibility if you're working in the kitchen.

Only real minus is that you should be fairly handy to mount the unit. Four screws have to go straight up through the unit for mounting. There's a template, but this really is a two person job, and all the connections must be made before mounting.

Summary: Electronics At It's Best!
Review: This item was delivered this past Thursday and took only minutes to install under my kitchen cabinet. My husband installed it himself before I arrived home. The picture clarity is amazing and being able to view DVD's while working in the kitchen is just fantastic. The remote control is easy to use and programing the unit is so simple. We purchased this unit to replace a "space saver" tv that we had for 10 years. This set with the built-in DVD player, flip up tv screen, radio and telephone is so compact, it's unbelievable. It has such a neat clean appearance that would fit in any decor. And you can't beat the price. We shopped around a great deal prior to purchasing this set and Amazon had the best price, fast shipping and a reputation for customer satisfaction, so we knew it was the only way to go!

Summary: Absolutely horrible
Review: this thing broke within 5 days of use, the speaker broke. but before that even happened the sound was horrible to begin with, not to mention the very annoying speaker phone system that wouldn't work for anything. all i can say is thank god for that warranty.
