Summary: High quality, easy to set up, what more could one ask?
Review: Combo units sometimes get a bad rap because people assume that having everything together in one box compromises the quality one could have by buying a TV, VCR and DVD as separate components. With this Toshiba unit, there is absolutely no compromise, because everything is first rate. The flat screen TV renders an outstanding picture and the quality of the VCR and DVD are as good as if one would have purchased them separately. The remote, however, could be improved. The DVD controls are non-intuitive, and difficult to read. It took me watching about six movies before I could navigate my way easily around the menus. Thus, because of the remote, I can't give it a five-star rating. Otherwise, this is a great purchase, and kudos to Amazon[.com] for shipping it about a month before I expected it!

Summary: Damaged
Review: Dont' know if this is a fair review, but this TV came dented and damaged and didn't work. I bought it for my aunt, who then had to ship it back. Big dissapointment.

Summary: Exactly what I pictured
Review: Easy set up, works perfectly, great picture. If I had to buy again, I would buy a larger screen. I have not programmed it, so I am not sure if it is as complex as other reviewers have said. Since the technology is changing anyway, a great idea to buy this low cost all-in-one to bridge the gap. I also like NOT have all the "home entertainment" center modules cluttering the room. These days, the sound technology is so excellent, there seems to no reason not to keep it simple. Inexpensive, and also we find it nice looking. Less depth than older tv's, but NOT a flat panel. I'm here because we're thinking of buying a second one. (Had several months). Remote is too busy, but it all works.

Summary: VERY POOR PACKAGING
Review: First, this is a great combo TV. BUT, do not order on line. I purchased this set in May, 2002 for $475 from Amazon, and it took three deliveries and three months to arrive undamaged. The first set was so bad, UPS would not deliver, due to broken glass. The plastic shell was broken on the second set delivered by a common carrier. Finally, the third set delivered by DLP was Ok.

The packaging from Toshiba is the typical exterior cardboard, with interior styrofoam on the ends, but the center is virtually unprotected. At the time I was saving about $100 (including delivery) from Best Buy - Not worth the headaches.....

Summary: Good Picture
Review: Good picture on this unit the dvd and vcr feel a bit cheap but seem to play well. Some VCD's will not play in this unit especially those compiled with Nero.

Summary: Great TV/VCR/DVD Combo-bad remote-horrid packaging shipping
Review: I agree with the other reviewers that the remote lacks ... everything. Packaging and shipping are obviously a problem. BUT, the Set is Great! I have never had an easier time setting up a system before! I have a satellite receiver and a stereo system and the Toshiba was a cinch to hookup! I took out my old tv,vcr, and cd player (bound for the donation desk somewhere)put the Toshiba in their place and only made a very few connections and I had Satellite TV, VCR, DVD and Stereo all rocking and rolling together! Folks, this only took a very few minutes and the pictures, sounds are FANTASTIC and I didn't need to read the directions until after I was finished installing the system! I only looked at the directions long enough to determine that the remote "had to go" and the only real time spent on this project was to reprogram my old remote to work with the Toshiba, and it works great!... This set, its price, quality and versatility cannot be beat anywhere....

Summary: Excellent product, three in one, for the $$$ spent!!
Review: I bought this set to replace a JVC unit that I did not like the color or sound on. We have been pleased with the flat screen picture tube which has less distortion on the sides than other tubes and the sound and color are great. You can make fine adjustments via the menu driven controls on the remote. The VCR and DVD units are also easy to use and high quality to view. Everything is easy to control via just one remote. I would buy another one.

Summary: Exactly what I pictured
Review: I just got this and really fell in love with it. It looks so cool and is just the right size. Unfortunately, last night I discovered that it is impossible to watch one channel while recording another, which was so easy to do with my old VCR/TV set up. No where in the owner's manual does it address this--it just says you can't use the VCR while taping a show. (Duh!) Nothing about the rest of your channels. You can watch a DVD while taping something off the TV, but part of the appeal of VCRs is the ability to watch one thing while taping another. It is kind of a minor thing, but if it is important to you, you might want to keep looking. I sort of wish I'd just bought a TV/DVD combo and a like brand VCR--I wanted to get avoid having too many remotes. I think this remote is maybe a little too complex and the buttons are too small and too close together. Other than that, though, this is one nice piece of machinery!!
