Summary: Sometimes you don't get what you pay for
Review: I would not recommend this product. We received it as a gift a little less than a year ago and are already experiencing problems with the DVD player. It will no longer play DVDs and gives a constant message that any CD is unrecognizeable. The labor to fix this is not under warranty anymore and the repair shop we patronize suggested that it would probably be expensive to repair, not to mention the fact that we would have to lug in the heavy television. We opted to follow the repairman's suggestion of buying a new DVD player, plugging it into the front of the tv and having it sit on top of the television. So now we are stuck with the cluttered look which we were trying to avoid by getting the combo. I didn't give this item 1 star because it does have a beautiful picture and Toshiba is a known brand so parts could be obtained if one wished to fix it.
