Summary: a trip to the west coast
Review: I purchased these binocular's for a trip out to Oregon and Washington. I used them in the mountains, along the coast line, and the Columbia River Gorge. They worked great and the views with them were excellent. They were easy to focus and gave a great field of vision.

Summary: Superb Product!
Review: I purchased these binoculars because I am going to WWF live in Reno on September 10th. In the mean time I have used these around the neighborhood to test them at various distances, and to check out the mountains that surround our valley. I have seen things in the mountains that I didnt even know existed. These binoculars are very sharp and most easy to focus! I would recommend them to anyone! After I see the WWF, I will let you know how well they performed there.

Summary: Incredible value
Review: I researched binoculars on the Web after my grandaughter lost my previous Bushnells (7x35). I was prepared to spend several hundred dollars after a cheap pair of Tasco's failed to illuminate at a Simon & Garfunkel concert.

My research led me to believe a Pentax 8x50 waterproof model would be the best choice ($265). I stopped at a local sporting goods store and tried various models of Pentax, Minolta and Nikon binocs, and they were ok. They had a pair of these Bushnells and I was amazed at the quality. They were the brightest, had the best field of view, were easy to adjust, and I was able to easily use them with my eyeglasses.

I bought a pair. Why spend $100s when these do the job even better at $45?

Summary: Most Overlooked Telescope
Review: I totally agree with Amazon, this may be the most "overlooked telescope" and probably the best value. When I was a teenager and avid astronomy buff, I started out with binoculars. It's a great way to get started and to test if this is a passing fad. Once I got hooked, I bought a telescope. The binoculars were still handy to have for other uses as well.

If you are an amateur astronomer just starting out the best way to introduce yourself to the stars and planets is with a pair of high-power binoculars. They are more affordable than a basic refractor telescope which you probably won't like anyway. A good pair of binoculars will allow you to see the details of the moon, the Orion Nebula and the Pleaides star cluster.

Summary: From someone who knows nothing about binoculars!
Review: I was reading reviews on these binoculars, and I thought it would be nice to have a pair. All I know about binoculars is what 16x50 means. That's it. I love nature, so I love to look at things. I have spent about three days trying to "work" these binoculars, and I finally figured it out tonight! I gave them 4 stars because the carrying case and strap are not very good quality. I don't really like the cheap rubber-like lens caps. After a lot of use, I can see that they will be useless.

As for the binoculars, they are great. I can see things around the yard really close. Great for watching the birds!!! :) I also wanted to test them to see what I could see of the moon and stars. I figured out that if I turned the focus knob clockwise and push the square-looking thing in the middle with the right side pointing up--- you can see a very clear image of the moon. You CAN see the craters. I even looked at several constellations. I don't know many names specifically, but I could see all the stars from one that was hard to see with the naked eye. It was awesome!!! You really need to have steady hands to see well. My hands are pretty unsteady, but I could see enough to make me happy. I think a tripod or something for these would help.

Overall, I think this is a great pair of binoculars for the price. I'm glad I bought them. Just think of what you could do if you know how to use them! :)

Summary: Worth the price
Review: I'm a sports fan and I have been bringing my older pocket sized bushnell binoculars to every UCLA football games. Well, one day, the binoculars fell out of the truck and down into a storm drain. Suffice it to say, I was in the market for a new set of binoculars. I looked at excatly the same type of binoculars as my pocket one... but the complaint I had about it was that sometimes I felt that the field of vision was too narrow and focusing was sometimes a pain. Then I ran across this Bushnell PowerView as a GOLDBOX offer. I read the reviews and I was convinced. I purchased it within the 60 minute time frame.

I did not try out the binoculars until I was at the game. WOW! Even my buddies noticed the amazing difference between their binoculars and mine. There wasn't any issue about lighting or focus. I AM VERY happy with them now. I just have to now stay away from very large storm drains!!! ;)

Summary: Have used these just once and already I'm impressed!
Review: My dad and I have both become amateur astronomers in the past couple of months. At first, all we would do is just identify various constellations through our cheap 7X35 Tasco binoculars. I had been thinking of getting a telescope for a month until I decided that maybe I should get more powerful binoculars since I didn't think I could afford a first rate telescope just yet.

Well I looked all over the place online and I couldn't find a good pair of affordable binoculars(I didn't want to pay anymore than $60 for at least a pair of 7X50 binoculars). I soon stumbled upon this pair of binoculars at amazon.com. All the reviews were glowing for this 10X50 Bushnell Powerview Binoculars. After reading all the reviews, my father and I decided that this was the best.

I just got my new binoculars today and already I could see a SIGNIFICANT improvement over my old pair of binoculars. I can now see stars that I had no idea were even there. The moon looks as clear as ever, and the bright star Vega couldn't look more beautiful. Keep in mind that I only took a look at the sky for about 15 minutes! It was EXTREMELY easy to focus and use, I really can't wait to use this more and more! Only problem I found with it was that it was a bit on the heavy side(a common, albeit small complaint from many of the reviewers here). Another problem is the cheap strap, however the case the binoculars come with is very nice. This really is the BEST pair of binoculars you could ever get(in terms of price and quality).

Summary: Poor Quality - stay away
Review: The focusing on these binoculars is HORRIBLE! The right eye focus was very touchy and would not stay in one place. I had to choose between the left eye and the right eye as they would seldom both focus at the same time. The Insta-focus would move on its own. This is the most disappointing Bushnell product I have ever seen!

Summary: Good Binoculars
Review: The neck strap is cheezy and the lens covers don't fit very well, but the bag is nice and they do the job. The binoculars themselves seem sturdy and well made. A nice piece of equipment.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: STRAP & LENS COVERS
Review: THE STRAP THAT COMES WITH THE BINOCULARS IS TERRIBLE AND THE LENS COVERS FALL OFF, OTHERWISE THE BINOCULARS ARE EXECLLENT.
