Description:
The Celestron Firstscope 70 AZ is an excellent choice for the serious beginning astronomer. The refracting lens has 100 times the magnification power of the naked eye and produces images 37 percent brighter than those from a 60mm refractor telescope, making visible Jupiter's cloud belts, Saturn's rings, and the lunar surface as well as many deep-space objects. The altazimuth mount is easy to use and has slow-motion controls on both the R.A. and DEC. axes. Controls are on flexible cables for simple and fast pointing and tracking.
