Summary: Cheap in more ways than one
Review: Don't waste your money on this camera. The pictures are horrible.
Even worse at the higher resolution. Spend a few more dollars and get something else.

Summary: Not quite ready for the market.
Review: I bought this camera a couple of days ago on sale at a local store near me, and I have to say this was probably the worst purchase I have ever made.

For starters, this camera has hardly any on-board memory (1 full resolution picture without an extra memory card, 6 pics at 640X480). This isnt really a big problem for me as I'm just taking individual pictures while sitting in front of my computer.
Problems starting appearing once I took my picture. The unit seems to lock up when switching between camera options(take a picture, connect to pc, edit pic's ect. The lcd display would take a long time to catch up with the option selected, and in many cases, would freeze and not actually display anything (perhaps because the camera is using the same memory for storing pictures as it does for running camera options?). The only way I found to correct this problem was to de-power the unit and turn it back on again, which is a bit of a headache, especially if the picture wasent saved.

All in all, I would suggest spending an extra hundred bucks and get a unit that actually works and can take more than one high resolution picture.

Summary: Depends
Review: I bought this camera to use recreationally, as I have never had a digital camera before and wanted to see what it was like. It is, obviously, one of the cheapest cameras you can get. It does well for the price you pay, in my opinion. I would recommend getting the compact flash card, or else you can only take about 6 pictures on low res before it is full. The camera has worked well since I bought it, and transfers very easily to computer and TV viewing. If you're looking for the "perfect" picture, then you'd better go with something a little pricier and sophisticated. This camera would probably be sufficient for someone new to digital cameras.

Summary: Good camera for beginners or kids
Review: I've had my Argus for 6 months. I initially used it to take about pictures at an outdoor farm auction. It worked great for that, though I had to pick up a Compact Flash card to get many pictures at once on the camera (typical).

My main gripe would be that the camera has no macro for closeups - so Ebay'ers probably shouldn't buy it.

The best part is that it is so easy to use that my 10 year old always has it. When you plug in the USB cable, the computer automatically recognizes it as a drive and then you can transfer the photos.

This is a good camera for beginners or for someone who primarily wants to send photos over the web to a buddy.

Summary: Big Bang for your Buck
Review: If you are like me and have been holding off on getting a digital camera this might be the camera for you. Here's why..
Price. This camera can be found for a street price of around [price]. This is a very good price for a 1.2 MP camera.
Resolution. This camera can take pictures at a max resolution of around 1280 x 1024 or 1.3 megapixels. while 1.2 MP does not equal the resolution of a good 35mm film camera ( you would need around a 5 MP camera to get that) it is perfectly acceptable for most snapshots you would print on 3x5 prints.
Usability. I consider myself to be very comfortable with technology. But a lot of digital cameras I have seen seem very clunky to me, this camera doesn't. In fact the jog shuttle control is very intuitive and can be operated with one hand.
Flexibility. This camera allows the user to connect the camera directly to any device with a standard composite video connection with an INCLUDED! cable eg: TV, VCR etc. This is great for those times where you want to show off some pictures but don't have access to a computer, or when the computer screen would be too small for everyone to gather around. I think this is a GREAT feature for a lot of people. Another nice feature is that the camera uses 4 standard AA batteries, they are affordable and you can get them anywhere (a big plus when you're traveling).
I strongly suggest that if you get this camera you pick up a compact flash card to go with as the internal memory is very small. These cards are affordable and reusable ( around [price] for a 128MB card that will hold around 100 high res pictures or thousands of low res ones). Also consider a compact flash to USB reader. While the camera does come with a USB cable to connect to a computer getting a separate reader ([price range] street price ) saves the camera batteries and speeds up the download process.
Overall I am very pleased with the Argus DC-3200. I think it strikes the right balance between price, features, performance, and usability. I highly recommend it!

Summary: pass on this
Review: The camera has clumsy controls and takes blurry pictures. I got one but returned it anyways, because the picture quality wasn't something I could use.

Summary: You Get What You Pay For
Review: This camera is a perfect example of you pay for what you get. I bought this camera, because I thought it was a steal at the sale price. This camera has no real on-board memory. You cannot take 1 high-resolution picture with out a compact flash card. The pictures are grainy at best and forget about low light pictures, because you wont see a thing. This camera is o.k. For a young teen, but no adult who will want to use this camera to capture those precious moments of life will not be satisfied.

Summary: Good value for money
Review: This camera is good for the money. It is good for the person who will mainly use it just for e-mail without very much zoom. You can print photos as long as you keep the photos not much larger than 5x7. Has built-in flash, LCD, and Compactflash Card slot.
