Summary: Not very satisfied
Review: As a technology consultant, I recommend, test and purchase computer related equipment for people who find it difficult or time consuming to do it themselves. I purchased this camera for a real estate agent who wants to take pictures of homes and e-mail them to potential customers. I had two problems with the camera. 1) The data connector is similar to a headphone jack and I had to wiggle it to make a connection to the PC. 2) The quality is only appropriate for pictures you intend to post on the web. I will recommend that my client spend more money for a megapixel camera.

Summary: Love this little baby.
Review: For the $$$ you really can't beat it. This is my first and only digital camera so I wasn't sure about getting one but it's worked out great. I'm gonna try and answer all the questions that I had before buying and hopefully that will help you. Q: No zoom, is that bad? A: Not really. The software that comes with it allows you to zoom and crop the picture in your computer. Q: Is it difficult to download the pictures to my camera? A: No, it's a simple process and only takes about one minute to complete the download. Q: Does it use up a lot of battery power? A: Oh yes, she's a maniac for power. But this is easily solved. I went down to my local store and bought a battery re-charger and batteries. Problem solved. Q: If I'm gonna spent a large amount of money for a digital camera should I just spend the extra $$$$ and get a higher end one. A: Personally I don't see why. Granted I've never had a top of the line digital camera but I can't imagine that the differance could possibly be worth the extra money.

Summary: Easy, Fun, quality, great price =one heck of a camera!
Review: I admit, even being the young techno geek I am, i've never had much interest in digital cameras, especially due to the prices. But then I got the 780c from my Uncle this Christmas and I'm having an absolute ball with it. Whint like an hour, I was taking pictures, downloading them on the computer with the family christmas photos and watching them oh the TV. The online manual is really easy to use and the photo software is as plain as english can get. The camera itself has a great quality and feel to it. Go grab a 8meg card (about 20 bucks) for it and take pictures to yours hearts content, even on high resolution, you can get 45 pics! I'll never got back to regular cameras, this is to much fun. If youve wanted to jump into the digital camera world but didn't want to make a big splash in the money bank, this is a fun and cheap way to get into it! Get one today and you won't be disappointed!

Summary: Excellent value for general use
Review: I am very pleased with this camera. I bought it two months after purchasing Agfa's bottom of the line eSmile camera which turned out to have only one, very crude resolution level. I wasted my money on that one but I love the 780, which has four resolution settings, all quite satisfactory. This is an excellent camera for the general, non-professional user. The LCD screen can't be seen in bright light but that's only a minor annoyance. And the price can't be beat! (Be sure to carry extra batteries.)

Summary: wasted batteries
Review: I bought this camera over a year ago and it was a good camera for that short period of time and the price was right, but there's not much difference in price for this piece for junk it drains the batteries everytime i download pictures from the camera. And you can't even upgrade the smart media card.

Summary: A pretty great camera
Review: I have had this camera for over a yar now and it works great. My only draw back is it would be nice to have a zoom lense. Other then that it holds alot of photos and it is easy to work and upload. Overall a 5 star

Summary: Terrific Value
Review: I needed to purchase a digital camera for my office and within a limited budget, the Agfa 780C fit right in. I personally own an Epson PC700 ($699 digital camera) that we've been using until our office bought one. Although the Agfa 780C isn't quite the same as my Epson (and I don't expect it to be), it is definitely a terrific value for under $200! Very easy to use, I highly recommend it for those on a budget, new to digital photography, and especially for use with web pages and online auctions.

Summary: Why discontinue a great camera??
Review: I purchased this camera 2 years ago after reviewing many cameras on this site. I was very pleased w/every aspect of this camera except no usb port. I have reccommended it to everyone that has been interested in purchasing a digital camera. I have since purchased a higher end camera and can only find small differences. I generally use the higher end camera only when I need the zoom feature. Also the software w/the AGFA is the best I have found w/all that are out there. I am confused as to why this camera is no longer avaiable.
