Rating: Summary: Love this little baby. Review: For the $$$ you really can't beat it. This is my first and only digital camera so I wasn't sure about getting one but it's worked out great. I'm gonna try and answer all the questions that I had before buying and hopefully that will help you. Q: No zoom, is that bad? A: Not really. The software that comes with it allows you to zoom and crop the picture in your computer. Q: Is it difficult to download the pictures to my camera? A: No, it's a simple process and only takes about one minute to complete the download. Q: Does it use up a lot of battery power? A: Oh yes, she's a maniac for power. But this is easily solved. I went down to my local store and bought a battery re-charger and batteries. Problem solved. Q: If I'm gonna spent a large amount of money for a digital camera should I just spend the extra $$$$ and get a higher end one. A: Personally I don't see why. Granted I've never had a top of the line digital camera but I can't imagine that the differance could possibly be worth the extra money.
Rating: Summary: great camera for the price Review: I've had my Agfa ePhoto 780c for about 5 years now. Bought mine when it was $199, but even then I thought it was a great value. I love this camera! No trips to the store for film or developing (1st to drop off, then to pick up). I get to see the pictures as soon as they've been taken. Downloading to the computer is fast and easy. Makes for some nice screensavers. You'll go through a few batteries though, especially if you use the view screen a lot. Get the AC cord if you can find one.
Rating: Summary: Easy, Fun, quality, great price =one heck of a camera! Review: I admit, even being the young techno geek I am, i've never had much interest in digital cameras, especially due to the prices. But then I got the 780c from my Uncle this Christmas and I'm having an absolute ball with it. Whint like an hour, I was taking pictures, downloading them on the computer with the family christmas photos and watching them oh the TV. The online manual is really easy to use and the photo software is as plain as english can get. The camera itself has a great quality and feel to it. Go grab a 8meg card (about 20 bucks) for it and take pictures to yours hearts content, even on high resolution, you can get 45 pics! I'll never got back to regular cameras, this is to much fun. If youve wanted to jump into the digital camera world but didn't want to make a big splash in the money bank, this is a fun and cheap way to get into it! Get one today and you won't be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Review: This is my first digital camera, and so far I really like it. The LCD is a little slow when you use it as a view finder. It's not like looking through a video camera where you see things as they happen. It takes a 1/2 second to update the screen. But for that price, I can live with it. I also had trouble uploading the images to 2 pc's, with the message "Can't establish connection to the camera." Until I read another review, did I realize I didn't have the cable attached to the camera correctly. Now it works great. You can take pictures while the camera is attached to the pc. You can use the pc as an LCD display as well. Neat feature. And keep in mind this camera is only 200 bucks; the resolution is not the greatest at any setting. It's good, but not perfect. Attach it to your TV! We love that. Instantly you can see pics on the tv from your camera. I shopped everywhere and looked at more expensive cameras and never found one at, or near this price that connects to the tv. Vinyl carrying case, wrist strap, all the cables needed, photowise software which is easy to use, are all included. If this is your first digital camera, then I highly recommend this camera. If you are looking for good pictures, this is the one for you. If you want excellent resolution, or clarity, from your camera, spend $600 for another camera. ORDER IT NOW!
Rating: Summary: Great Camera Designed to Fail? Review: This camera was excellent for the price - on sale for $... I used it semi regularly, never dropped it, never exposed it to the elements (heat, liquids, etc.). It ate batteries like mad, but I was satisfied overall....except that it just up and died. New batteries didn't work; the display just flashed the 'empty battery' sign. I put a message on Agfa's website to get tech help. Never got any response except for the automated email they send when you enter a message. Overall -- descent camera that had a fatal flaw that Agfa apparently doesn't give a s**t about. Figured it would cost more to send to Agfa to fix it, so I chunked the f**ker in the trash. Thanks a billion, Agfa. I'll be sure to avoid your products in the future.
Rating: Summary: Nice Camera even in 2003 Review: Only if it was USB compatible!
Rating: Summary: Had to send it back Review: When I decided to buy my first digital camera, my wife and I ordered this one. We got it home, and the display on the back never worked right, so we ended up packing it up and returning it. Ended up getting an HP PhotoSmart C200 instead, and I've never regretted the decision.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful tiny camera Review: I am impressed on the quality of this product... I just would like to know how to reduce the size of the pictures it takes...
Rating: Summary: Excellent starter camera. Review: The Agfa 780c is great for posting pictures on the internet and sending in e-mails. It does not have as high a resolution as some of the newer cameras but if you are printing small photos or not printing at all just sending them across the internet it works great. As far as batteries go all digital cameras with an LCD screen are hard on batteries, rechargables help. I added an 8mg card to mine and was able to get 50+ photos in high res!! I have been very happy with my camera and have had it for over 1 year.
