Summary: I am so pleased with my Pentax Optio 330RS digital camera!
Review: I had never used a digial camera and purchased the Pentax Optio 330RS just 3 days before we were to leave on our vacation, a bit concerned that it would be difficult to learn to operate. What a pleasant surprise. It is very easy to use. The 30 second video feature is such fun and not complicated at all. Thirty seconds is certainly enough time to get some great little videos. I encourage anyone who is looking for a mid-priced digital camera to purchase this model. It has a good "feel" to it. Also, for us ladies, fits nicely in a purse.
Be sure to purchase a CF card though, as this comes with only enough memory to store about 9 shots. Just remember, you will never have to purchase film again, nor pay for developing...if you have a pc! It's worth it.

Summary: So pleased I may buy another one
Review: I purchased the Pentax Optio 330 RS for my church to use for putting together a church directory. Being a photography buff for the last 30 years I wanted photo quality as well as ease of use. The 330 RS is the first digital camera I have really worked with and have been so pleased with the quality, versatility, user friendliness, etc. that I am considering buying one for myself. It is so easy to understand and use that I was amazed at the first pictures I took with the camera. Out of the printer they looked as if they were right out of the commercial processor. The builtin memory enables the user to make photos with or without a memory card. Versatility includes optional exposure selections, flash selections, closeup photos, continuous shooting (this is great!!), movie option. I could go on and on. Did I mention its size? So small it will fit in your shirt pocket, yet its "feel" in your hands tells you it is well-constructed. I'm jinxed when it comes to installing software, but following the setup instructions with the camera and software, I connected the USB direct and with little inconvenience viewed my photos on my dinosaur computer. The quality was excellent. For me, another advantage of the 330 RS is the rechargeable battery.

I like this camera and can hardly wait to get one of my own. The photo quality and versatility enables this camera to meet my photography expectations.

Summary: Good price for a 3M camera with 3x optical zoom
Review: I was comparing this camera to other major brand 3M cameras and decided to pick this one because it is good value for a compact camera with 3x optical zoom. Canon S230 is great but it only has 2x optical zoom. Sony P7 is great but it's a little long and thick. On top of that, both S230 and P7 are selling for a higher price.
I've been using it a lot indoor and it has given good quality pictures at Normal setting. The shutter is a little slow but it's not a big deal to me after a little practice. I guess this is the only thing I'm not too happy with.
In conclusion I'm satisfied with the overall quality and would recommend it.

Summary: Taking pictures of kids?
Review: My first digital camera I owned for about five days now, after spending some time to review different brands of camera, i.e. Canon, Minolta, Pentax, etc. I ordered it from Amazon.com on Thursday 12/05/02 with standard shipping(upgraded to free shipping,) but my order was upgraded by Amazon(somehow without charge) to "2 Day Air" shipping so I received on Monday 12/09/02. Frankly speaking, I am very satisfied with my Pentax ownership so far.

Here are what I like: excellent viewing pictures outdoor/indoor with sharpness and vivid colors; easy to use and control selection menu; sharp LCD display; pocket size camera; good flash within reasonable range; good reasonable zoom; lens cover automatically at power off; lots of good features for picture adjustment and creativity; very good auto focus with visible indicator light at half way down of shutter button; fast transfer time to PC via provided USB driver.

What I don't like: non-metal camera body; quick drain of battery with extensive use of LCD display + flash(estimate: last at most 2 hours of continuous use of picture taking and viewing)

Conclusion: an excellent compact size digital camera at 3 Megapixels with lots of features and execellent picture quality at reasonable price(I paid [$$$] at Amazon with free shipping,) if you don't mind about its non-metal body.

Summary: My first digital Camera
Review: This is my first digital Camera and I opened it up out of the box and it seems very easy to use I was able to set the date and language with ease. This camera is so sleek and small but gives great pictures I have had it 1 day and already took 10 pictures and loaded them onto my computer and have printed them out. I am sure with alittle more time to research the book and read on all it's features it will replace my 35 mm camera. I love the accept of looking at the pictures as soon as you take them. This camera is well worth it's money with it 3.2megapixel. The instruction are easy to understand. I would defintely remcommend this camera to a first time person like me. And the pictures load fast on to my computer. I think the longest part of the whole camera process was the intial loading the driver's to work the camera. That took alittle more effort but the rest is simple. I am proud to own this pentax.

Summary: Good but NOT Great
Review: This is my first Digital Camera. I did some research on 3+ megapixel cameras with Compact Flash card. I was looking at Canon S230, Kodak DX4900& Pentax 330RS and decided to go for this one - looking at its size and additional features like 3D. Even though I like this, I am not very happy with this Pentax camera.
The 3D image is something unique in this camera, but we may not be using it often - viewing Glass is not great. The picture quality is superb when it is set in 'BEST - ***' with Max pixel, otherwise the picture quality is no good. The flash range is very less. The worst thing in this camera is - the shutter speed. It takes more than 3 seconds after clicking the button. Overall - it is a good camera but surely it is NOT a Great one.

Summary: Taking pictures of kids?
Review: We purchased this camera and had to return it because the shutter delay is excruciating. I filled an entire memory card with pictures of my boys and didn't get one good shot. In some frames there was no subject because my toddler was 6 feet away before the shutter finally clicked (3 to 4 seconds after the hitting the button). The LED screen on the back was also faulty giving a red cast to the scene at hand - not like my previous Olympus digital.
I can't recommend another model as we are still looking for that perfect choice.
