Summary: Somewhat disappointed
Review: The pictures are terrible. The camera often refuses to take pictures indoors even in well lit areas. The battery dies quickly, erasing all your pictures with no warning.

On the plus side, it mades a superb webcam, and it much cheaper than most webcams, so for the price, it was worth buying.

But if you are looking at this for the camera function, don't buy. :-)

Summary: A Great Small Camera
Review: This is a SMALL camera. A great feature since you can take it with you everywhere. Smaller than a pack of non-filter cigarettes. Too bad they didn't include a protective pouch so it doesn't get dirty. My mom's Largan camera included a vinyl case that had a belt loop, a great feature.

The photos are above-average for cameras in this price range. The colors are suprisingly accurate. The software is easy to use. I was able to take and download photos within minutes without reading the owner's manual. At this price, I was suprised it even HAD one!

Light is very important, since it doesn't have a flash. On a cheapo camera they aren't that useful anyways. Often they just provide an ill-lit off color photo. Instead, this camera double beeps when the light is too low and you get an "err" message. It makes good use of indoor lighting and the photos are decent, contrary to the comments in another review that it won't take indoor photos at all. It even has an indoor/outdoor selection in the settings to allow for better color balance. I have forgotten to switch to indoor and still got good photos while in outdoor mode.

I've taken over 100 photos so far and am still using the battery that (thoughtfully) came with the camera. Also, it has a keychain attachment and neck strap. Handy, but it makes you look a little like a tourist!

Serious photographers will frown, but if you like taking a camera with you everywhere (in theory, if they weren't so darn bulky!) then you just might find the Stylecam is ideally suited to your needs.

Summary: Webcam made photo camera
Review: This camera is great if you want to take pictures at day, with lots of light, at a park, beach, etc. is really usefull 'cause it is as little as you can see at the picture, you can take it wherever you want without problem. The resolution is not the best so if you want to take super quality pictures this is not your camera. As a webcam is really good too, so it is great if you want a webcam and a photo camera 2 in 1.

I couldn't ask for more for this price.

Summary: I LOVE IT
Review: This is a great digital camera for it's price and size. The software is easy to install and the camera is sooooo tiny it fits in a pocket or in the palm of your hand. You can travel with this fabulous camera and use the software to create cards, montages and all sorts of other great gift and craft ideas. Now... for the cons. You have to remember that this digital camera is TINY!! The images are not as sharp as oh say, a 300.00 dollar digital camera would be, but for general use this is a great camera. I would not suggest it if you're a professional or if you want professional style photos. But if you want to snap photos on a day in the park... go for it. The camera needs a certain amount of light to work and won't work in dark areas or indoors as well. You cannot shake when you snap photo's or the images are blurry, and the battery life (AAA) is short, so beware. But I love this camera. I've taken some fabulous photos and all my friends are in love with the size. With this gadget you can't help but feel like James Bond... :)

Summary: don't bother...
Review: I bought this after seeing someone else with it. It's very difficult to take clear photos due to the size of the camera - the only way is with the tiny tripod (which is pretty impractical). I saw that people were recommending this for kids - I wouldn't bother - go with something a bit more substantial that they can steady for a real photo.

Summary: Just for fun
Review: If you are looking for high-end quality pictures, you're looking at the wrong place. But if you're looking for a regular quality shots and don't want to spend a lot of money the StyleCam is the right one. How can you ask for a great quality pictures for less than.. Even a film camera taking good pictures can cost you about..to...

The software is very easy to use (but don't have a manual), the camera is even easier to use, and it works great as a web cam. Be sure to hold the camera very steady because it has a slight shutter lag of about half a second. This can be annoying, but after a while you will remember this automatically.

Summary: You get what you pay for
Review: This camera takes fair pictures in perfect conditions. As long as you have good light, the subject is not moving and you have hands of steel, you can get a good picture. It will not take in medium light conditions. If you tap the button while taking a picture it will blur. And if you taking picture of something moving at walking speed, it will be unrecognizable. Works well enough as a web cam. As long as whayever you set it on doesn't move.

Summary: More than expected for such a cheap camera
Review: While the pictures are not great, you really cannot beat the value and versatility of this little camera. Everyone that has seen me use it has been stunned when I tell them how little it costs and almost everyone I told about it has purchased one as well.

After I upgraded my PC from Win98 to WinXP, my old PC cam and my old digital camera were no longer supported under the new OS. I sold it used them auction and set to find a new goodies. What attracted me to this little cam, besides how cute and small it is, was that it met my needs for a PC cam (USB connection) and a digital camera that I could carry everywhere. An added bonus is that it is also capable of making small AVI movies.

Granted, it is far from perfect. The pics are of low resolution, it has no flash, the memory (though is huge) is not removable and depends on battery power (you will loose the pics if it runs out of power) and the AVI movies are low quality, but again, what else do you expect for so little money?

This is a great little play camera for kids and teenagers and for anyone who wants a starter camera. The resolution is perfect for online pictures: small pics take less time to transfer. You can't beat the value. Works great on WinXP too!

Summary: Don't believe the naysayers
Review: I have wanted a digital camera for over a year now. I usually research items before I buy them, since I am always budget conscious. With the recent popularity of digital camera, there are many from which to chose and many of the ones that caught my eye were very expensive. In addition, researching everything I purchase can take its toll; the brands, the types and subtypes for digital cameras are extensive - and I was getting extremely woozy. Examining my budget and what I wanted, I had to reexamine my criteria, which basically came down to snapping pictures here and there on a daily basis to form a web diary of sorts and for a personal digital photo album. I'm not a professional photographer, and just need something that is very lightweight and dont need to lug around or suffer about having an expensive item stolen. Enter the SiPix Blink Camera. This thing is a godsend and one of the few items I've found to be REAL affordable in todays camera market. This camera has bad rap, because I think people expect extremely high end, multi-funtional capabilities of a very expensive unit. The pics arent high quality, and it offers resolution a bit better than a good webcam. BUT this camera is extremely fun, click and go, and comes with very functional easy to use software, a webcam clip for laptops, usb cable, a keychain strap, little neckstrap, and a battery to get started right out of the box. Not only that, it functions as a respectable webcam and can hold hundreds of pictures, and costs so little that I can still make my car payments on time. Also, I was really getting tired of trying to figure out the technical jargon for digital cameras and found this a great opportunity for a beginner. All you have to really know is how to press a camera button and where to plug it in to your computer. Thats it! If you only need a camera for the reasons outlined above, dont be tricked into buying more functionality than you need. Me, this camera is perfect for my current needs and it seems you get alot more than for what you pay. Its all self contained and dont need to learn anything new and dont need to buy additional expensive accessories. At the very least no matter what you do dont let the camera companies trick you into buying an expensive camera. You can buy this one or if you need a little better quality for those important memories keep in mind that you dont need to spend the more than the GNP of China to get it. It baffles me how this little camera got such bad reviews.
